Coco's, a budget-friendly bar near Sungshin Women's Univ, is located near Dongam Market, just a 1-minute walk from Exit 2 of Sungshin Women's University Station, so it was easy to get to by public transport. It's tucked into the busy alleys near Sungshin, making it a great spot for a casual second round of chicken and beer after dinner.

Here's the interior of Coco's, a chicken-and-beer spot near Sungshin Women's Univ. The inside is really spacious with plenty of seating for groups, making it great for gatherings or company dinners.

What caught my eye most at Coco's was the gorgeous chandelier hanging in the center of the store. This big chandelier at Coco's, a well-known spot near Sungshin, gave the place a lounge-like, upscale feel, making it a great photo spot too.

Here's the menu at Coco's, a favorite for anju near Sungshin Women's Univ. From soup dishes like fish cake stew, clam stew, and jjamppong hot pot to chicken, fried snacks, pizza, and stir-fries, there was a wide variety of anju — enough that ordering a few dishes could easily cover dinner too.

At Coco's, near Sungshin Women's Univ, we could order easily through the table-order screen installed at the table. No need to call over staff — you can order while looking at menu photos and descriptions, and it was convenient to add more items midway through :)

While waiting for our order at Coco's, the cold draft beer and Pepsi Zero came out first. The draft beer was served in a frozen ice cup, a nice touch that kept it refreshingly cold haha.

For the main soup dish at Coco's, near Sungshin Women's Univ, we ordered the spicy beef brisket jjamppong hot pot. The spicy jjamppong broth was loaded with beef brisket, giving it a rich, fiery flavor.

The hot pot kept simmering at the table, so the savory flavor naturally soaked into the broth and it was delicious — the spicy, hearty broth went really well with the beer.

🍽️Soy-garlic boneless fried chicken

The second anju dish at Coco's near Sungshin was the soy-garlic boneless fried chicken. The salty-sweet soy sauce combined with the aroma of garlic paired so well with beer that I'd recommend this place as a chicken-and-beer spot near Sungshin Women's Univ.

Since it's boneless chicken, there's no need to pick out bones, so it was easy to eat while chatting. The outside was crispy while the inside stayed juicy, making it the kind of flavor you keep reaching for even when full haha.

Here are the gizzard fritters we ordered extra at Coco's. The golden-fried gizzards came with a dipping sauce on the side. You could enjoy both the chewy texture unique to gizzards and the crispiness of the batter, making it a simple, easy-to-pick-up beer snack.

Dipping the gizzard fritters in the sauce added extra savory depth, making the flavor even richer. They were easy to eat in bite-sized pieces, and the chewy texture of the gizzards really came through — the best anju of the visit :)

That wraps up my review of enjoying a variety of anju and beer at Coco's, a bar known for great snacks near Sungshin Women's Univ. The store is spacious with a variety of seating, making it great for dates, meetups with friends, and group gatherings alike. Most of all, the range of anju that pairs well with beer — from the spicy beef brisket jjamppong hot pot to the soy-garlic boneless fried chicken and gizzard fritters — was really satisfying.
