I wanted to introduce a café near Gangnam Station with a great atmosphere and a wide variety of desserts. Let me show you the bakery selection at 'Bakerist Brown,' a Gangnam Station bakery, and review the menu I ordered!

Where is Bakerist Brown?
Bakerist Brown is a bakery café located between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station. From Gangnam Station, take Exit 11, or from Sinnonhyeon Station, take Exit 6, walk straight toward the CGV building, and go up the alley between the buildings — it's easy to find.
Bakerist Brown's exterior and size

The exterior of Bakerist Brown caught my eye with its vintage look, accented with red brick. It's also a big plus that the whole standalone building, from the basement to the 3rd floor, is used as café space, so it feels spacious.
It's the perfect weather these days for sitting outdoors, and there were tables set up outside too.
What's the vibe on each floor? Good for studying and meeting up
Since the interior is so large, there were plenty of tables too. The 2nd floor felt good for chatting, while the 3rd floor was quieter, seeming better for laptop work or studying. It seemed easy to pick a spot that matches your mood each time.
There were also several group tables, so this could be useful if you're looking for a study or meeting spot near Gangnam Station. The café also has separate men's and women's restrooms, which was clean and convenient.
Bakerist Brown's drink menu

The drink menu at Bakerist Brown had coffee, ades, and teas. The salt cream coffee was marked as the best-seller, while black sesame latte and plum ade were marked as new items. Coffee could be switched to decaf or oat milk, and since I often drink tea, I liked that there were distinctive teas beyond the usual options.

Bakerist Brown's bakery selection
The bakery items at Bakerist Brown looked adorable from the display case onward, every single one visually appealing, so I took my time browsing.

Pastries, croissants, pain au chocolat, pies, salt breads, egg tarts and more — beautifully baked breads were lined up in abundance.

From cute conch-shaped pastries to financiers that are perfect for a light snack, these all seemed like great gift options too. If you're looking for a Gangnam Station bakery good for gifts, be sure to stop by.

The refrigerated display case mostly had cream-based desserts set up, and the fig and sweet corn toppings caught my eye. In the bottom photo, you can see the Gangnam Sand cookies lined up by flavor — the ones I'd seen mentioned in so many reviews. I tasted these myself, and I'll review them below.
What I ordered and how much it cost

- 8-piece Gangnam Sand set: ₩19,000
- Black sesame latte: ₩7,800
- Strawberry mint tea: ₩7,300
- Total: ₩34,100
What flavors come in the 8-piece Gangnam Sand?
The 8-piece Gangnam Sand set from Bakerist Brown comes packed in a box with 8 different sand cookies, which seemed great both as a gift and for keeping around as a snack. Let me show you the Gangnam Sand I was most curious about first.
Opening the box reveals sand cookies in a variety of colors. Here are the 8 flavors listed from left to right:
- Raspberry Blossom: raspberry & white chocolate
- Sweet Pumpkin Jack: sweet pumpkin & butter
- Golden Hour: caramel & white chocolate
- London Fog: Earl Grey & white chocolate
- Rich Ganache: chocolate & cream
- Black Grain: black sesame & cream
- Cream Forest: matcha & cream cheese
- Peanut Butter Wave: peanut & butter

A card with the flavors and storage instructions was included as well. As with the ones in the café's refrigerated display case, it says they taste better cold after being refrigerated.
The taste of matcha Cream Forest and Raspberry Blossom
Among the Gangnam Sand cookies, Cream Forest had a sweet and delicious cream cheese layered inside the matcha cookie. The bitterness of matcha was barely noticeable — it mostly just toned down the sweetness a bit. The cookie overall was soft and nutty-tasting, and the cream in the middle was neither too much nor too little, so the balance was great.
Raspberry Blossom is worth trying if you like tangy-sweet cream, or if you enjoy the flavor of Crown Sando. I personally love cream fillings, and since each flavor was different, it was fun picking through them — I enjoyed every single one.
What does the new black sesame latte taste like?
Bakerist Brown's new black sesame latte had black sesame cream generously piled on top, taking up about a third of the cup, which I loved. It smelled nutty from the start, and it tasted really nutty and rich too.

Strawberry mint tea, for those who like a clean flavor
The menu described Bakerist Brown's strawberry mint tea as a blend of apple, spearmint, and strawberry. It kept the clean taste of mint tea while adding a lovely sweet fruity aroma. If you usually prefer clean, refreshing flavors, this one is worth trying.
In a space full of vintage charm, I enjoyed the Gangnam Sand — great for gifts or snacking — along with the nutty black sesame latte and the clean-tasting mint tea. Overall, a very satisfying visit.
