Gwangju bakery crawl: cutting open a cream choco pie at Ssukseu

Here's a review of a bakery near Gwangju Songjeong Station you can't skip if you're passing through on a trip or business trip to Gwangju.

I'm a total bread-lover, so while researching a nationwide Gwangju bakery-hopping course, I finally visited Ssukseu Choco Pie, a place that's already massively word-of-mouth famous. Here's a photo of the gift set of 6!!

Where is Ssukseu Choco Pie, and what does the shop look like?

The storefront has a deep green sign, and there are teddy bear brick figures sitting on a bench outside — great for photos!

It's within walking distance of Gwangju Songjeong Station! A great stop for gifts or snacks before catching your KTX.

On one side of the shop there's a tasting corner along with a notice about a Naver receipt review event, and cute bear-bottle drinks neatly displayed — fun just to browse.

Apparently Ssukseu Choco Pie is loved as a Gwangju Songjeong Station favorite because of its 'clean ingredients.' They say the brand was made out of a father's worry for his twins who have atopic dermatitis.
