Paju bakery café with bread by 10 am and clean restrooms: Brick Rouge
In short
Brick Rouge is a large four-floor bakery café on Jimok-ro in Paju, Gyeonggi, near Paju Book City and the Lotte Premium Outlets. On a weekday visit at 10 am, the writer ordered the Meat Big Brunch set and explored every floor, including the 3rd-floor floor seating and the 2nd-floor indoor garden. Even that early, Brick Rouge had a wide range of bread, and the restrooms were spotless. Brick Rouge suits anyone looking for a morning brunch or a spacious, clean café to visit with kids.

I visited Brick Rouge (브릭루즈), a big bakery café in Paju 🙂 I went at 10 am on a weekday, and there was already plenty of bread out, and I loved how each floor has a different feel. I especially liked the spacious, comfortable interior and the variety of seating. Here's my visit, brunch menu included.

It's a big four-floor bakery café near Paju Book City and the Lotte Premium Outlets. Since it opens at 9 am, it works well if you want brunch early.
There's parking, so it's easy to come by car. And the parking was seriously roomy!!
Brick Rouge Meat Big Brunch set: how was it in the morning?

The Meat Big Brunch set at Brick Rouge was hearty enough to count as a full meal. Still, at 10 am I thought a sweet bread brunch might have suited the hour better. Brick Rouge has a wide brunch menu on top of the bakery, and I spent ages deciding what to order. In the end I went with the Meat Big Brunch set.

When it arrived, it was more generous than I expected. It wasn't a light breakfast at all; it was plenty for a proper meal. But maybe because it was morning, eating a meat-heavy dish got me thinking.
"Since it's morning, should I have ordered a brunch with sweet bread?"
That thought crossed my mind, haha. The bread at other tables looked so good lol. It wasn't that the dish was disappointing; that morning, something sweeter and lighter would just have suited my taste better. Next time I want to try a sweet brunch menu.
Is there lots of bread at Brick Rouge at 10 am on a weekday?
At 10 am on a weekday, the display at Brick Rouge was already stocked with a wide variety of bread. I thought it might be too early for much selection, but contrary to my expectations, the shelves were full.

There's quite a variety, so you can pick by taste!! At some big bakery cafés these days, even a few pieces of bread add up to a painful bill, but at Brick Rouge it was fine to browse the types and prices together before choosing.

Bread takeout boxes are sold for ₩500 (large) and ₩300 (small).

I think it's also a good place to come just for bread and coffee, not only brunch.

Besides bread, there were baked sweets (gugun gwaja, or small baked goods) and cakes too.
Brick Rouge floors and seating
Each floor at Brick Rouge has a different concept, so the seating choices vary: regular tables, roomy seats, even group seating. It was a weekday morning and so empty that choosing a seat took me 10 minutes.
1st floor

You know how sometimes you go to a big café after seeing it on social media and get disappointed? Brick Rouge has lots of spaces that are decorated far better in person than in photos!! There's everything from regular tables to roomy seats to spaces good for groups. Each floor has its own mood, so I honestly struggled to decide where to sit.
2nd floor
I really did take 10 minutes to pick a seat lol. On a weekday morning there was so much choice that I agonized over which spot was best 🙄
There are lots of photo zones around the café. With so many nicely decorated spaces, anyone who likes taking photos will have fun wandering. I also liked the high ceilings: nothing felt stuffy and it felt open. The café is so big that several people were working alone on laptops.
It looked fine for coming with friends or family, and also for spending time alone.
Brick Rouge 3rd-floor floor seating: why it suits babies
The 3rd floor of Brick Rouge has a floor-seating area where you take off your shoes, and a great many baby chairs. A friend with a baby once told me Brick Rouge is great for visiting with kids, and after looking around myself, I see why she recommended it.
With a very young baby, a spot where you can sit on the floor is often more convenient than a regular chair. In that sense the 3rd floor looked ideal for families with kids.

The number of baby chairs was huge 🙂 I've been to lots of cafés, but this was the first with so many. You can tell they thought about guests coming with babies. There's also a nursing room (suyu-sil) on the 2nd floor.
My favorite spot: the 2nd-floor indoor garden at Brick Rouge
After looking around several floors, we settled next to the indoor landscaped area on the 2nd floor. Eating while looking at fresh green plants felt like sitting beside a garden even though we were indoors. The high ceiling made the view wide open, and the spacious room with the greenery had a lovely atmosphere.

Chatting over food next to the plants, I lost track of time. Personally, I liked it enough that I'd want the 2nd floor again if I return to Brick Rouge. The outdoor space on the 3rd floor was nice too 🙂

Is Brick Rouge clean for such a big café?
For its size, Brick Rouge was well kept, and the restroom in particular was really tidy. If I had to pick one more thing I loved here, it would be the cleanliness.

Big cafés are huge and busy, so some of them aren't kept up properly. Some have messy tables or floors, but at Brick Rouge I saw staff cleaning constantly. Overall I got the impression that, despite the size, it's well maintained.
The restroom was really tidy. I personally care about restroom cleanliness when visiting a café, so I was happy that even the restroom was kept clean.
Brick Rouge in Paju: overall verdict
Brick Rouge in Paju is less just a big bakery café than a place where you can enjoy a variety of spaces. With a different interior on each floor, plenty of seating and photo zones, it was fun to wander around inside. The 3rd-floor floor seating and abundant baby chairs should be a real plus for families with babies.
What I liked most were the 2nd-floor indoor garden and the clean interior. It keeps the open feel typical of big cafés while staying tidy everywhere. There was a wide choice of bread even at 10 am, plus brunch dishes, so it's a fine place to visit early. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for brunch in Paju, or a roomy café to bring kids to.
