Café Ohkam is a dessert café near Konkuk Univ. Station, and today I came to have coffee on my own. On a hot day like this, sitting in a café with the air conditioning blasting is the best way to escape the heat. It's dangerous outside! ^^

"Ohkam" is said to mean something like "comfortable and quiet." The café accepts the high oil price relief subsidy.

Where is Café Ohkam near Konkuk Univ. Station?

Café Ohkam is at 117-23 Dongil-ro 22-gil, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul (floors 1–3), 192 m from Exit 2 of Konkuk Univ. Station. It's a very short walk from Exit 2.

It's a café that takes up a whole building up a flight of stairs. It's within a 10-minute walk of Konkuk Univ. Matjip Street (the food alley), Lotte Department Store Konkuk Star City, E-Mart, CGV Konkuk Univ. and Konkuk University Hospital.

Café Ohkam opening hours and parking

Café Ohkam opens at 12:00 and closes at 22:00 every day (12:00–22:00). There is no dedicated parking lot for the café.

For nearby parking, use Gana Parking lot. It costs ₩2,000 per 30 minutes and ₩4,000 per hour. Café Ohkam is within a 5-minute walk from the lot.

Café Ohkam's first floor and dessert display

The first floor of Café Ohkam has the counter and quite a few seats. The cute interior is neat and tidy. The owner and staff are so kind, it's a real kindness-winner of a place.

Café Ohkam has lots of delicious-looking baked goods, so there's a wide choice of desserts, which I love. The one that caught my eye was the mango cake, my number one pick.

I ordered the fresh mango cake, a Delos cookie and a hot Americano. It was cool inside the café, so I was craving something hot~ I'm usually a latte person, but today I was looking forward to the cake and Americano combo.

Café Ohkam's second floor: good for solo coffee and groups?

Head up to the second floor of Café Ohkam and there's an even bigger seating area. Guests were gathered in small groups enjoying coffee, and there was even a team having a group meetup. The space is big enough that Café Ohkam works for group gatherings too.

I grabbed a spot because there were two-person tables. There was also a guest reading a book over solo coffee~ It's a space where you can spend a relaxed time with your own coffee.

There are sofa seats too, so it's perfect for a date, isn't it? The tables come in different setups, so you can pick whatever suits you. The restroom is also on the second floor, so it's convenient.

Café Ohkam's third-floor rooftop terrace

The third floor of Café Ohkam is a rooftop. It's ideal for a date with a cup of coffee on a nice day. The outdoor terrace looks so great. Today it was too hot, so I'm passing.

How do Café Ohkam's fresh mango cake and Americano taste?

My fresh mango cake, Delos cookie and hot Americano arrived. The presentation gets 100 out of 100. Delicious food has zero calories. Shall we dig in?

I don't usually drink Americanos because they're bitter, but I chose one to go with the cake and it was a good choice. The Americano at Café Ohkam isn't bitter and tastes clean, so I drank it happily. It's a fantastic pairing with the cake.

The cake topped with fresh mango is absolutely amazing. It's packed with plenty of mango, so I was totally satisfied. The mango cake goes perfectly with the Americano, and my sugar refill is complete. The cream isn't greasy either, the best!!

What is the texture of Café Ohkam's Delos cookie?

Café Ohkam does cookies really well too. The Delos cookie is chewy and dense, thumbs up. There were lots of other desserts, so next time I'll try a different one.

Would I go back to Café Ohkam?
