On a recent trip to Anseong, I stopped by Chat Baker (챗 베이커), a big, newly opened café with a reputation for its atmosphere. It's a brunch café in Gongdo, Anseong, where you can get coffee, brunch and bakery all in one place, and its stylish vibe makes it great for a date or a quick stop on a trip. Today I'll walk you through the location, the menu and my review of the pasta I ate there~!

Where is Chat Baker in Anseong, and what is the space like?
Chat Baker is a brunch café in Gongdo-eup, Anseong, close to Anseong Farmland, so it's a convenient spot for brunch while sightseeing.

The moment I walked in, the wide, airy interior felt so refreshing. With 500 pyeong of space and generous gaps between tables, it seems perfect for going solo, for a date, or for a group gathering.

It's a modern, stylish café, and just sitting there felt healing.

As you'd expect from a big Anseong café, Chat Baker also has seating on the 2nd floor, so it should be just right for get-togethers!

Chat Baker coffee and drinks menu
Chat Baker is a big, new café where you can enjoy brunch, more than 80 kinds of bread baked fresh every morning, and drip coffee brewed by a professional barista.

The coffee comes in three specialty beans you can choose from: acidic, balanced or nutty. In a space where good ingredients, a skilled hand and music come together, it looked like a lovely place to have coffee and make the time feel special.

There's a wide range of drinks too, including special drip coffee, regular coffee, juices and smoothies. I came for brunch this time, but I'm curious about the coffee, so next time I'll visit just for that~✨

Chat Baker brunch, dessert and bakery menu
Let's look at the menu. There were lots of pastas and risottos, plus desserts like coconut fresh mango bingsu (shaved ice), melon snow bingsu and red bean snow bingsu.

The bakery was on one side, neatly displayed, and seeing how tidy it was made me trust that it's kept hygienic.

Anbutter (red bean and butter bread), croissants, cube bread, scones, baguettes... they say all the bread is kneaded and baked by hand at dawn every day, so I was looking forward to the bread too!
We ordered the beef belly cream pasta and the tomato seafood pasta.

While I wandered around the café after ordering, the pastas were ready. The plating was neat and pretty, so it was a treat for the eyes even before eating~ haha

How was Chat Baker's tomato seafood pesce pasta?
Chat Baker's tomato seafood pasta (pasta alla pescatora style) comes in mild or spicy, and the mild one was fresh and not harsh. I love seafood, so I picked this one, and it had house-simmered tomato sauce and fresh seafood.

Since you can choose mild or spicy, it's easy to order to your taste. I went with mild, and the fresh tomato sauce wasn't overpowering and went nicely with the noodles.

It also had plenty of plump shrimp and mussels, so if you like seafood, you'll probably enjoy a satisfying brunch at Chat Baker.

Is Chat Baker's beef belly cream pasta thick and creamy?
Chat Baker's beef belly cream pasta isn't so much thick and heavy as it is a smooth cream sauce topped with plenty of savory sliced beef belly. I ate it alongside the seafood pasta, and I'd recommend it as a hearty pasta.

The cream sauce is the smooth kind rather than the heavy kind, and I could enjoy its rich, savory cream flavor.

This pasta can also be ordered mild or spicy, and since you get meat and pasta together, I thought it would suit guys well.
