Gongdeok lash salon: black tint lift after extensions, Iyo Shop

Today I visited Iyo Shop (이요샵), the Gongdeok Station lash lift spot. It's been a while since my last lash lift, and Iyo Shop is one of my absolute go-to recommendations whenever lash lifts come up 🙌

Where is Iyo Shop near Gongdeok Station, and how do you book?

Iyo Shop is on the 2nd floor of the Park Palace 2 building at Gongdeok Station. Walk about 300 meters from Exit 3 and take the stairs right above Olive Young. Parking is available too, just so you know :)

It's a one-person salon, so booking through Naver Booking is a must. There are lots of office workers around Gongdeok, and they take appointments until 8 p.m., so it's great for getting done after work haha

Iyo Shop's interior and consultation vibe

Iyo Shop has a clean white-toned interior, and every time I come I'm touched by how pretty it is. It feels like a mix of mid-century style and white-ivory tones.

The lash lift consultation happens in this space. She looks at the style and curl I want plus the current condition of my lashes, then decides how to do the treatment. She even custom-designs a style to suit my eye shape and she's so meticulous that I just trust her completely.

If you come with someone or there's a wait, you can wait right here haha I asked for a tight-lift style, and she did exactly what I wanted without me having to say much :)

What's the one-person treatment room like?

The treatment happens on the lash lift bed on the left. Iyo Shop runs private, one-person sessions, which made it really comfortable! The room is decorated so neatly that looking around is half the fun. The bedding is clean and fluffy too, so I fell asleep the moment I lay down, pure magic haha

Thin lashes after extensions: why I chose a black tint lift

After a long run of lash extensions over several months, my own lashes had no strength, and my already sparse lashes looked even fainter ㅠㅠ So this time I chose a lift over extensions, because I wanted to build up my natural lashes :)

For a more defined look, I went with the black tint lift. Especially if your lashes are thin and sparse like mine, go for the black tint lift, no question!

The black tint lift at Iyo Shop took about 1 hour. Here come the before and after photos! On the left is before the lift, with only eye makeup on and just a few extensions left. On the right is the black tint lift from Iyo Shop, my favorite Gongdeok lash lift spot.

My lashes are thin and broken, so I figured it wouldn't turn out well, but what do you know.. she lifted them up tight and I'm so happy with it ✨

Even from the front, they're lifted tight right up above the double eyelid line, see? I've been to a lot of lash lift salons, but Iyo Shop has the best finish 🙌 Whenever I want a lift, I end up coming only here.

You even get a mascara effect from the black tint! If your lashes are long, you really don't need extensions haha From now on I'll keep applying lash serum to build up their strength!

Does it sting or feel uncomfortable during the treatment?

During the lift at Iyo Shop there was no stinging or discomfort at all, and I slept soundly the whole time. Her hands are meticulous and her skill is great, which is why I keep coming back.
