Iyo Shop is a lash salon in the Park Palace building at 143 Mapo-daero, a 2-3 minute walk from Gongdeok Station Exit 1. Today was my first lash care in a while ✨ I went to Iyo Shop for a lash perm.

Come out of Gongdeok Station Exit 1 and keep going straight, and you'll find Iyo Shop in the Park Palace building,

The sign is neat and clean, so I found it right away. It's right by the station, so I think it's easy to visit even on a really hot or cold day.

What is the atmosphere at Iyo Shop?

Iyo Shop is a warm, calm space with a clean white and wood-tone interior. I heard it opened recently, and the tidy interior caught my eye the moment I walked in.

The whole place feels warm and calm, so I could relax during the treatment without that typical beauty-salon tension.

The reason I decided to get a lash perm again today is that I'd seen lots of reviews saying Iyo Shop's treatment quality is good.

The scent drifting softly from a small diffuser was lovely too, and every little prop was placed with care, so it's a space that makes you want to take photos.

What do lashes look like 2-3 months after a lash perm?

About 2-3 months after my last lash perm, the curl had loosened and the lashes were tangled in different directions, and the lashes on my right eye in particular were drooping. Below is my before and after from Iyo Shop.

I'd had my last lash perm about 2-3 months earlier, and back then the curl was distinct and my lashes looked pretty even without mascara, but...

Over time the curl loosened bit by bit and the lashes tangled off in every direction, and every time I looked in the mirror I thought, "Ugh... why do my lashes look so limp?"

My right eye especially had some lashes drooping down, which made my eyes look more tired. The before state was an absolute mess, honestly... 😭

How are the consultation and lash perm process at Iyo Shop?

At the consultation, the owner checked my eye shape, lash length and lash density, then chose the curl. I said I wanted a natural but defined look, and she said she'd do a neat C-curl that isn't overdone but looks like I used a lash curler.

The process was really comfortable. A pad goes under the eyes, the lashes are tidied up, and then they're placed one by one onto a silicone rod, which felt very delicate. While the solution was setting, the lighting was dimmed softly and I almost fell asleep. She also checked in from time to time to make sure nothing felt uncomfortable, which made me trust her even more.

How did the C-curl lash perm turn out?

After the C-curl lash perm at Iyo Shop, my loosened lashes lifted neatly from the root and the curl shape on both eyes matched exactly. And now, the big after! I'm not kidding, I gasped the moment I looked in the mirror after the treatment.

All the loosened lashes were lifted up neatly, and my eyes looked so defined that even without a single swipe of mascara, my makeup looked far more finished. The curl direction is even and the lift starts from the root, so my view feels much clearer when I open my eyes. The left and right curls being perfectly matched is another thing I love!

After this treatment, I think I can go another 2-3 months without worrying about the curler in the morning. My makeup is pretty simple, so getting just the lash perm right really brings out my whole look, and I plan to keep getting regular care at Iyo Shop.
