We finished our Gangnam schedules at the same time, so it was date time with a friend 🤍 I've known her since middle school, and days with my reliable friend are always fun ~ We're both bread-loving girlies, so we were looking for tasty desserts and a cool, spacious café when we found a big café right near Gangnam Station! ✨ Heard it was a Gangnam dessert hotspot, so I went to Selected Nicks full of curiosity!

What is in the 1st-floor bakery at Selected Nicks?
The 1st floor of Selected Nicks has way more than tiramisu — there's bakery items and even lollipops, so many kinds of dessert. As for drinks, they sell coffee, non-coffee, ade, tea, and oddly enough, vitamin drinks too.
Selected Nicks, famous for its variety of tiramisu, really has so many desserts — bakery goods, lollipops, all of it! And a great drink lineup to pair with them! Coffee, non-coffee, ade, tea, and interestingly, vitamin drinks were on sale too!
How the free pastry with a bread plus tiramisu order works
Time for my bread-loving friend's eyes to go wide! We agreed out of conscience to each pick just one, and started choosing very carefully!
Seriously so many good ones 🤤 The neatly arranged bread had a protective cover — just lift it off and load up your tray!
For tiramisu, only display models are set out, so don't panic — just pick up the model of the flavor you want and bring it to the register!
(Hehe... true story, both of us were confused by the models)
We grabbed the wakku salt bread my friend had been curious about, along with the tiramisu, and headed to pay — oh!? Turns out they were running an event 👀 Ran right over to grab a free pastry! (choice of financier, madeleine, cookie, or brownie)
It really is a popular bakery spot — by the time we arrived in the afternoon, most of the bread was already sold out! Highly recommend going early! ✨
What is the 2nd-floor café at Selected Nicks like?
The 2nd floor of Selected Nicks feels like a gallery space with artwork hanging on the walls. You can carry your dessert and drink ordered on the 1st floor and take the elevator out front to move between floors.
After picking up your dessert and drink on the 1st floor, you can ride the elevator out front to move between floors! Out of B1F, 2F, 3F, 8F, and RF — 5 floors total — we used the 2nd floor!
2nd floor: exhibition space, guestbook and private board game room
The 2nd floor, reminiscent of a gallery, has artwork displayed on the walls, and the seating is arranged so you can comfortably enjoy the pieces while you sit! In one corner, they even sell bags, wallets, and artwork — fun to browse with a friend too.
Plus a cute guestbook corner and private room rental! Equipped with a TV, monitor, and 44 kinds of board games — good to know if you're looking for a meeting room or study room near Gangnam Station!

The one my friend was most curious about — wakku salt bread peach! Turns out the currently-trending wakku snack has a dessert version too! Totally fascinating. It's salt bread filled with peach cream inside, coated in white chocolate on the outside to recreate that crackly wakku bite!
(Such a fresh, original dessert, rare to see these days — so intriguing)
And finally, Selected Nicks' popular desserts — classic tiramisu and matcha choco financier. The moist sponge and mascarpone cream are sandwiched together so lusciously, really soft! Beyond the classic, flavors like banana, choco banana, pistachio, and carrot make you curious too! 🤤
The coffee matched the desserts perfectly too — a nutty style coffee with low acidity, really easy to drink no matter your taste!

Besides the 2nd floor we used, the other floors were spacious and comfortable too, really great to use! Especially the basement — lots of people were working there! Highly recommend it as a study café near Gangnam Station 👍🏻✨
