Olla Poke Munjeong Main Branch is a poke and salad restaurant on the basement floor of Terra Tower A, 167 Songpa-daero, Songpa-gu, Seoul. On a day so hot I'd lost my appetite entirely, I wanted something simple but still filling for lunch, so I dropped into Olla Poke in the basement of Terra Tower. I'm dieting too, so this felt like the perfect healthy meal!

In weather like this, it's honestly hard to even step outside for lunch — but down on the basement floor of Terra Tower, you can knock out a Munjeong Legal Town salad favorite in no time! Great not just for dieters or anyone watching their meals, but for anyone looking for something clean and satisfying in the heat.

Olla Poke bowl build: 7 base toppings + 4 garnishes

Olla Poke piles on a whopping 7 base toppings plus 4 more garnishes, so you get a nicely varied, generous bowl. Toppings: red onion, corn kernels, pickled beet radish, pineapple, seaweed, lentils, chickpeas, furikake, crispy onion, and parsley.

If you're tired of bland chicken breast or plain salad greens, this one has so much textural variety and a nice sweet-salty-tangy balance that it almost feels like a cheat meal — 'wait, is this really a diet dish?'

Is Olla Poke Munjeong good for solo dining?

Walking in, the first things I noticed were the bright, colorful posters and the neatly arranged interior. The whole space feels hygienic and well kept — a pleasant spot whether you're eating alone or grabbing a casual meal with coworkers. The bright energy makes you feel good before you've even started eating.

Steak poke with buckwheat noodles instead of rice

I ordered Olla Poke's best-selling menu item, the Steak Poke. It comes with steak, the base toppings, sesame soy sauce, and wasabi mayo sauce. You can swap the rice for buckwheat noodles, which I did — the sesame soy sauce is tossed right into the salad, while the wasabi mayo comes on the side.

A bite of the tender, richly grilled steak with the perfectly boiled buckwheat noodles, dipped generously in the sharp, salty wasabi mayo — a perfect combination. The crunch of crispy onion, the pop of corn kernels, and the refreshing pickled beet radish all came together so well that I cleaned the bowl without getting tired of it, right down to the last bite.

Olla Poke's salad has so many varied base toppings that there's never a dull moment while eating. When things start to feel a bit much, grabbing a piece of pineapple is truly an oasis in the desert!!

The self-serve corner has both water and rooibos tea ready — such a thoughtful touch!! And on top of that, hair ties, mouthwash, and toothpicks were all set out too!!

With the heat draining my appetite, this is exactly the right season to diet — and finishing off a varied, tasty salad like this leaves me feeling this satisfied! Haha!
