Friday after-work bunsik in Yongsan: half-organ sundae, Hyeonseonine
Hyeonseonine Yongsan Main Branch (현선이네 용산본점) is a bunsik (Korean street food) restaurant a 5–7 minute walk from Yongsan Station in Seoul. On a Friday after work, the writer and a coworker ordered the Hyeonseon Combo Set (26,000 won) in the standard spice level and received five kinds of fritters, four mini gimbap (seaweed rice rolls), sundae (blood sausage) served half plain and half with organ meat, and one serving of odeng (fish cake). Turnover at Hyeonseonine is fast so the wait is short, and dipping the self-serve fritter flakes into the tteokbokki broth was the highlight of the meal.
