Motsu tonkotsu ramen plus gyudon at a Jung-gu ramen bar: Mentsuru
Mentsuru City Hall Branch is a ramen and rice-bowl restaurant a two-minute walk from Exit 10 of City Hall Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. Dining alone, this writer took one of the unusually wide bar seats and ordered both the motsu tonkotsu ramen, made with beef tripe, and a smoky gyudon (beef rice bowl) in one go, and both delivered. With seats for one, two and four plus a basement floor, Mentsuru City Hall Branch is an easy weekday lunch stop with little waiting.
