This treatment at Yeum Hair Nowon District Office branch started with a layered cut to set the line, then straightening on top, a setting perm below to add curl, and a root perm on top of that. Perms and straightening matter, but I honestly think the cut matters much more. A layered cut especially changes the whole mood depending on who cuts it.

The first thing I noticed was how seriously the owner takes cutting..🫨 It wasn't just trimming the length; she checked my face shape, hair type and even the curl that was left, and cut so carefully🔥 Watching her cut, I thought, yep, this really is a cut specialist...

After setting a pretty layered line, she straightened the frizzy upper part with magic straightening, used a setting perm on the lower part where the curl falls naturally, and she didn't forget root volume either, adding a separate root perm!

Worried about heat-perm damage: the 4-step classic care

I added classic care to the magic setting, and after the pre-treatment before the heat perm, the classic care came in 4 steps in total. Since it was a heat perm, I was a little worried about damage.

• Step 1: protein shampoo
• Step 2: a complex bubble-type care supplying oil, moisture and protein
• Then: moisture care and a highly concentrated nutrition care
• Last: coating care while balancing oil and moisture

The care was more thorough than I expected, which I liked! When I touched my hair after the treatment, the dry, rough feeling was clearly much reduced 🌼 Adding the clinic was such a good decision, honestly.. 🔥

The last clinic step is done at the shampoo station, and there's a massage chair (!) Ta-da. Getting a massage while my hair was being washed made me feel like I'd walked into a spa instead of a hair salon..haha. Truly healing. It's a small thing, but details like this stick in your memory.

Including the care, the whole treatment took about 4 hours. I found out that Yeum Hair also has a main branch in Byeollae. Maybe that's why, but all the staff were kind and the mood was good. Nobody rushed past; they took care of whatever was needed right away, and the service was so relaxed that I felt no pressure even on my first visit.

It took quite a while, but I never felt uncomfortable or bored. It felt more like I'd rested with a cup of tea? ☕

The result after magic setting, and styling it myself at home

The frizzy, sprawling remains of the hippie perm were tidied up naturally, and with the layered cut and magic setting working together, my hair looked much neater and more feminine. When I looked in the mirror after the treatment, I was very satisfied.. 🌼 It isn't flattened to the head, it keeps a fitting amount of volume, and it's easy to manage, which I liked even more.

Ta-da, this is my hair after I washed it and styled it myself at home! I'm so clumsy at styling that it doesn't look as pretty as on the day I left the salon (T_T) haha. But tied up, half up, or down, it looks naturally pretty, right? It's like a touch of femininity was added, haha.
