I went near my husband's office and we decided to have lunch together. Trying to figure out where to go among the Gangnam Station restaurants, we picked Eulji Darak, a place I'd wanted to try for a while ❗️ It's a great spot for a wedding invitation meetup or a date near Gangnam Station, so I wanted to write up this Gangnam Station restaurant review.

Where is Eulji Darak Gangnam Station, and how do you find the entrance?
Eulji Darak Gangnam Station is a 5-minute walk from Exit 11 of Gangnam Station, super close to the subway.

Going up to the 2nd floor, the entrance door looks strange — it looks like an elevator, but it's actually the door into Eulji Darak ☺️
Inside Eulji Darak: chandelier, window seats and table types

We visited around 2:20pm on a weekday, past the lunch peak. Even then there were quite a lot of people, and customers kept coming in. Eulji Darak is a restaurant with waits, so it's worth going outside peak time ❗️ There were too many people to take interior photos, so I only took shots of empty spots on our way out after eating.

The interior feels upscale and pampering, so it seems perfect for a date, or a wedding invitation meetup (청모). The chandelier in the center is especially elegant, and the floor-to-ceiling windows give a pretty view. Tables come as standard 2- and 4-person seating, and there are also group tables, so it's great for gatherings too 👍

This is the self-serve bar on one side of the restaurant. It has water, wet wipes, napkins, and aprons, and there's a sign saying pickles are available on request. Right next to it there's also a baby chair!
Eulji Darak menu and how to order with the table bell

This is the menu. Once you decide, you ring the bell and staff come to take your order. The menu is simple but everything looks delicious — Darak omelet rice, several kinds of pasta, spicy crab risotto, chopped pork neck steak, corn gnocchi, katsu sando, fries, and more.

We ordered Darak omelet rice, katsu sando, brisket perilla oil pasta, and a Pepsi Zero.
What we ordered for a 2:20pm lunch for two

Zero-sugar cola (₩3,500) came out first, right after ordering. It was hot outside, and they thoughtfully brought an ice cup along with it so we could enjoy it cold — and even though we only ordered one, they gave us two straws, which was a nice touch.

The food came out within 10 minutes of ordering, and all three dishes arrived at once. The visuals looked absolutely delicious ☺️

Darak omelet rice, ₩17,000
Darak omelet rice (₩17,000), the signature dish. It's omelet rice topped with a soft, fluffy-looking Japanese-style omelet.

Staff cut it up nicely for us to eat. When cut, the egg spills open beautifully. The soft omelet went so well with the fried rice packed full of ingredients underneath, and it was delicious. The sauce also tasted like a rich, upscale hamburg steak sauce.

Not only was the omelet rice generously portioned, but the fried rice inside was also loaded with meat.

Brisket perilla oil pasta, ₩19,000
Brisket perilla oil pasta (₩19,000) had a gentle perilla aroma wafting through it. With perilla leaves and egg yolk on top, the nuttiness was doubled.

We mixed it well before eating. It had a bit of spice, and with the perilla leaves it wasn't greasy at all — really delicious. There was plenty of brisket in it too, so we could dig in freely without holding back.

Katsu sando, ₩12,000
Katsu sando (₩12,000), a sandwich with a thick pork cutlet. The katsu was juicy, had no off smell, and was fried really well. It was so good that if the menu has katsu, I think I'd order it every time without question.

The outside of the bread and the katsu were crispy and warm, and the thin layer of sweet sauce wasn't overpowering — it paired nicely. Piling the vegetables that came with it on top made it even better, with a tangy, clean finish.
Why Eulji Darak suits wedding invitation meetups and first dates
Eulji Darak is a Western-style restaurant near Gangnam Station with a great atmosphere for wedding invitation meetups, dates, or blind dates ❗️ Beyond the interior and mood, the food quality itself is upscale and delicious. There's a baby chair and the space is fairly spacious, so it seems like a good spot to visit with a baby too. I think I'll keep coming back whenever I'm at Gangnam Station.
