Yongsan tteokbokki served ready-made, not instant: Hyeonseonine set

Hyeonseonine Yongsan Main Branch is a longtime bunsik (Korean snack food) restaurant on Hangang-daero 39-gil near Sinyongsan Station in Yongsan, Seoul. A Yongsan local came with her husband on a weekday at 2pm and ordered the Hyeonseoni set with the ready-made tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) rather than the instant hot-plate version, mild spice, dipping the fritters in the self-serve batter powder. Hyeonseonine Yongsan Main Branch has no decor to speak of, and that is the point: a quick, casual plate of tteokbokki and out.
