What is Mirim Yangjang in Gwangalli like?
Mirim Yangjang Gwangalli branch is a Chinese-style bar-restaurant where you can eat Peking duck in Gwangalli. We came here as the last stop of our Busan date. It works as a drinking spot and as a place for a proper meal! The space is bigger than I expected and feels upscale.

Mirim Yangjang menu board and QR ordering
You can check the menu on a board outside the restaurant! Inside, you order by QR code, so I snapped a photo before going in and it was easier to read, hahaha. I'm just an analog person at heart, lol.

Mirim Yangjang Gwangalli branch hours and crowd
It's open from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m., which is a really long stretch! Good for lunch or dinner, and in the evening you can enjoy it with a drink. So the crowd was mixed in age: families eating out, couples on dates like us, and small casual get-togethers too.

What are the interior and side dishes like?
The first thing that caught my eye when I walked in was the stylish red interior! Each table was neatly set with tableware. The place feels clean and sophisticated.

This is how the basic tableware was set. The side dishes were refreshing pickled bean sprouts and peanuts, and those peanuts were seriously good. Sweet and salty, the best combo. Real snack-time peanuts, haha, I kept reaching for more!

What's on the Mirim Yangjang Gwangalli menu?
You view the menu and order via QR code!

- Peking duck (half / whole)
- Duck soup / duck fried rice / duck lettuce wraps
- Shumai / truffle shumai / guotie (pan-fried dumplings)
- Shrimp spring rolls / pork and chive dim sum
- Dongpo pork / five-spice pork / fried eggplant
- Yuxiang eggplant / guobaorou (sweet and sour pork) / fried pork
- Mapo tofu / fried pork ribs / menbosha okonomiyaki
- Kanshao shrimp / youlinji (crispy chicken in sauce) / mala tang / jjamppong soup
- Stir-fried pig ear with bean sprouts / wood ear mushroom cucumber salad
- Stir-fried water spinach / pork and cucumber salad
- Hong Kong-style egg noodles / french fries / coconut ice cream
There's a huge variety! Some familiar dishes, some unfamiliar ones, and it would be great to come with a group and try lots of things! We came for a meal plus a drink, so we ordered the dish we most wanted: half a Peking duck!

We were full, so we skipped somaek (soju mixed with beer) and ordered just one bottle of Good Day soju, haha. We had a long way to go, so we kept the drinking moderate!

How was the half Peking duck at Mirim Yangjang?
Cucumber and scallion strips to go with the Peking duck!

The jeonbyeong (thin wrapper pancakes, yabing) for wrapping the duck! They came out warm, which was nice, and there's something like plastic sheets between them so you can peel off one at a time and eat neatly!

Ta-da, our half Peking duck from this Gwangalli bar arrived too. Beijing duck!! I'd been so curious and finally got to try it! I thought it was my first time, but I'd had a small taste in Kyoto and remember it suited me quite well!!!

The duck was roasted a tempting brown and sliced into bite-size pieces! Glossy, crispy skin and meat that looked moist. Visuals: pass, I'd say.
What does the Peking duck sauce taste like?
As a sauce lover, I was really curious about the sauce here, and it was a flavor I'd never had before. Sweet yet salty, with a deep savory richness. It went really well with the duck.

Duck wrapped in a thin pancake, and that crispy skin
Put cucumber and scallion on a thin pancake, add a little sauce and wrap it up! The crunch of the vegetables was great and it boosted the flavor of the duck.

Peking duck is known for its crispy skin, and here it was truly crisp outside and tender inside, exactly our style. We're total skin lovers, hahaha.

The skin was seriously on point!!!! Great crunch, and nutty richness too!!!

Never-ending wrapping, haha. One wrap came out so pretty that I had to take a photo! Wrapping your own is half the fun.

What about the receipt review event egg noodles?
For the receipt review event at Mirim Yangjang Gwangalli branch, we received a half portion of Hong Kong-style egg noodles.

Hong Kong-style egg noodles are stir-fried egg noodles made with bean sprouts, bok choy and onion in a soy sauce-based sauce. They were really good too! And they went well with the Peking duck!!!!
We finished neatly with a Coke Zero. The glass it came in was pretty too, a cola glass I wanted to take home, haha.

On the way out, we checked out the Peking duck on display too!
