Gwangan-mok Gwangan Branch: location, hours and parking
Gwangan-mok Gwangan Branch (광안목 광안점) is a pork belly and pork neck BBQ restaurant at 156 Gwangnam-ro, 1st floor, Suyeong-gu, Busan. It is open Mon–Sun 12:00–23:30 and closed on the 3rd Monday of every month.

If you use the Sinho Tower parking lot, you get 1 hour of parking support! (Though during peak periods the fee kicks in at 10 minutes per hour, so it's probably best to eat quickly and move your car, hehe)

How does the wait at Gwangan-mok work?
Unless you've booked ahead, just register at the waiting machine in front of the restaurant and wait! Every time I passed, there were so, so many people waiting outside that I wondered how good this place must be to always have a line, and I really wanted to visit.

Interior and the pre-grilling corner
The space is smaller than I expected, but the interior is very clean and each table is nice and roomy, so it felt totally comfortable! What surprised me is that you can see right at the front where the staff pre-grill the meat :) The golden-brown pork belly looked so delicious.

A Set for 2: what's in it and what I ordered
Most people seem to order the set menus, so I went with a set too!

The 2-person set comes with 370g of pork neck and 130g of premium pork belly, enough for two to eat well, and then I planned to order whatever else I felt like on top!
I ordered the A Set for 2, one extra serving of premium pork belly and the cheese kimchi fried rice!

Self-serve side dish corner
What I care about most at a pork BBQ place is how many tasty side dishes there are to go with the pork! Pork belly or pork neck on its own can feel greasy, so with a variety of sauces and sides it goes down so easily and is much more fun.

You can freely take whatever side dishes you need from the self-serve corner, which is very convenient!

This is the staff pre-grilling the meat for you. Another plus of ordering the set is that assorted grilled vegetables come with it, and the vegetables looked so golden and delicious T_T!

There's also a review event, so keep it in mind! They give you a makgeolli shake (rice wine shake) or steamed egg, so skipping it feels like a loss.

Basil wraps with pork neck: Gwangan-mok's specialty
The first platter came out grilled, an absolutely amazing set, packed with so much deliciousness T_T!

The real specialty is being able to eat this soft pork neck with basil wraps! The fragrant basil feels different, and I'd never tried it before, but it goes so well with the meat.

The seasoning was especially good!

I kept reaching for the basil wraps T_T

Since they pre-grill and bring a whole platter, you don't have to start grilling from scratch at the table, which was so easy! And the staff finish grilling it at your table and explain how to eat it best, so I think we enjoyed it really well.
After finishing a whole platter, I ordered more pork belly! Still making room for pork after the 2-person set.. haha
Finishing with cheese kimchi fried rice

The kimchi fried rice I ordered last was the real kicker! As I mixed it, I realized there is sooo much cheese!
The portion is big too, so after two of us ate a ton of meat and then kimchi fried rice for dessert, we were totally stuffed! Still, I strongly recommend ordering it.
A wait is a must, but I recommend Gwangan-mok Gwangan Branch for pork belly with basil wraps~!
