It was a weekend lunch, and since I was meeting a friend after a long time, we wanted somewhere with real atmosphere. We decided to find a place with both a great vibe and great food. My friend said there's the only fresh pasta BAR in Euljiro, using fresh dough pulled daily from Italian flour. So we settled on the very place we wanted — Schedule Osteria. The location was also right in the middle for both of us, near Euljiro 1(il)-ga and Jonggak, so it was perfect.

Let me start the story of my visit to Schedule Osteria, a dining spot with a floor-to-ceiling window view — a healing restaurant in the middle of the city.

Where is Schedule Osteria, and what are the hours?

What is the dining room like inside?

The interior of Schedule Osteria felt like a healing space in the middle of the city — cozy, like stepping into a hotel resort.

Engraved 'Schedule' sign on a red wall at the entrance

Going up to the 2nd floor, the word 'Schedule' is elegantly engraved into a red wall. My first impression of Schedule Osteria was like a Cheongdam-dong restaurant vibe inside a cold office building. The moment I opened the arched steel-and-glass door and walked in, it felt totally different from the bustling streets of Jongno — cozy and calm somehow?

Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, the city's forest of buildings and trees came into full view, giving off a quiet, tranquil feeling.

A gorgeous arrangement of artificial flowers at the center of the restaurant, uniquely textured ceilings and floors, plaster statues in various moods, curved sofas, and neatly set tables — it felt like a luxury hotel lobby. The wall filled with wine and champagne was also striking.

Schedule Osteria's seating is arranged into 4-seat tables, group seating, and solo bar seats.

The flow between tables was well spaced, so it was easy to have a private conversation. They even had hand cream thoughtfully placed at each table! I instantly understood why this place is called a blind-date holy spot — a perfect date restaurant near Euljiro 1(il)-ga.

They use fresh dough made by hand every day. Made daily with Caputo Sacco Rosso flour from Italy, the fresh pasta has no preservatives or additives, boasting a soft texture that pairs perfectly with the sauce.

For drinks, they have Suntory draft beer, highballs, glass wine (red/white/sparkling), and a variety of coffee and ades.

Menu at Schedule Osteria

We ordered the truffle cheese wheel tagliatelle, octopus confit potato, and bolognese arancini.

From the bread service to the bolognese arancini

Bread service with truffle butter spread

A flavor-packed bread service. Before the main dishes, bread arrives first, and they spread it with an oil-and-truffle butter mix right in front of you. The savory butter combined with truffle scent instantly wakes up the appetite.

Arancini cut in half showing the interior

The bolognese arancini came out right after the bread. On a pretty plate, round fried arancini balls were gathered together with dots of aioli sauce cutely dabbed on top. Piled high with arugula and grana padano cheese, it was visually stunning from the first glance — of course I had to take photos before eating. Cutting the crispy shell in half, rice grains spilled out along with gooey melted cheese. Even though it's fried, it wasn't greasy or heavy, which made it all the more appetizing.

Tableside cheese wheel flambé performance

Truffle cheese wheel tagliatelle and the tableside flambé

You absolutely have to try the truffle cheese wheel tagliatelle. A staff member wheels an entire giant cheese wheel over on a cart right up to your table and puts on a dazzling show. (I was a bit startled when the cart suddenly rolled up!)

The tagliatelle performance↓ First, they gently scrape the inside of the cheese wheel with a spoon to create a generous amount of cheese shavings. Then they pour liquor into a spoon, light it on fire, and pour it into the wheel — the 'flambé' performance. With a dramatic burst of flames, the cheese melts down smoothly. Once the cheese inside the wheel is beautifully melted, the warm fresh pasta from a pot is dropped straight in! They toss it around, and right before your eyes the noodles get coated in cheese and turn thick and rich. After plating it beautifully, they grind whole black pepper over it and drizzle fragrant truffle oil on top, finishing with 3-4 slices of fresh truffle. Watching this whole process being done with such care right in front of me was both a treat and made me feel truly pampered.

The taste is honestly a work of art. It's the ultimate in truffle-scented richness. If you go to Schedule Osteria, you have to try this 🫢 My friend also raved that this pasta was the best dish of the meal! It's the kind of taste anyone would agree is delicious.

Octopus confit potato: a surprising texture

The last dish to arrive, the 'octopus confit potato,' triggered gasps and camera phones the moment it hit the table. With natural light streaming in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, the green and pink sauce colors photographed beautifully. Topped with a hefty octopus leg and an eye-catching black net-shaped garnish, the plating was truly a work of art.

Cutting into the octopus leg with a knife reveals pale, plump flesh. The moment it hit my mouth, the texture was a complete surprise! You'd usually think of octopus dishes as chewy, right? This octopus confit had an incredibly soft, unique texture in the mouth — like mashing a boiled potato with a spoon until it's fluffy. Dipped in the sauce, the flavor wasn't overpowering and had a strange, melt-in-your-mouth charm. It was a dish that pleased both the eyes and the mouth.
