A Mokdong pizza pub I came back to for an after-work beer: Eopija

Eopija (어피자) is a pizza place near Yeomchang Station where you can have pizza and draft beer together. Last week and this week our house master was under the weather, so we hadn't had a beer in quite a while, haha. Today I made up my mind to drink one, and while hunting for a pub near Yeomchang Station after work, I remembered Eopija. The value was great and the food was so good last time that I came back without a second thought~

Getting to Eopija and where to park

Eopija is only about a 3-minute walk from Exit 3 of Yeomchang Station on Line 9, so it is very easy to reach by public transport. The shop doesn't offer parking, but the Mok 2-dong Wolchon public parking lot is right next door, so it's easy to park. Parking costs ₩100 per 10 minutes and ₩600 per hour, which is super cheap, another plus!

Eopija exterior and interior atmosphere

Since Eopija sells pizza and beer together, the exterior has beer signs such as Goose Island and Hoegaarden. When the weather is cool, it looks like you could sit outside like at an open-air pub.

There's also a big menu board outside, which looked handy for picking your order while waiting if there's a line. And Eopija sells pizza by the slice, so a lot of people come to drink alone too!

It was a Thursday evening and Eopija was quite full. Most tables were four-seaters, easy to push together or apart, so it looked great for group gatherings or company dinners too.

The tables have hot sauce and tableware, so it's comfortable to eat, and for things like Parmesan cheese and water there's a self-serve corner where you can help yourself, haha.

Until what time is Eopija's happy hour?

Happy hour at Eopija, the pub near Yeomchang Station, runs from 16:00 to 20:00: one of Cajun potatoes, a pizza slice, oven spaghetti or nachos plus one draft beer for ₩10,000. Happy hours usually end around 6pm, but Eopija goes until 8pm, so there's plenty of time? At only ₩10,000, it struck me as a great place to drop by for a quick beer.

Eopija has à la carte dishes too, but whenever we come here we end up ordering the good-value set menu. We ordered the half-pizza set and picked classic pepperoni + oven spaghetti and the garden salad, haha. And of course the Cass draft beer, which was the whole point of the trip!

Right after ordering they bring out a basic snack, and we got Pizza Time, the snack I used to eat a lot at school-front stationery shops as a kid, haha. The old memories came flooding back.

How big is the half-pizza set? Classic pepperoni, oven spaghetti and garden salad

We were watching some baseball while munching Pizza Time when the half-pizza set arrived, haha. Photos might not give a good sense of the portion size, so I also took a video, haha.

Eopija's half-pizza set is a half pizza but a very generous one, and the oven spaghetti is a side dish but the portion is huge, so I think even three people could eat this comfortably. The nachos were a free extra from the owner!

The garden salad also comes in a deep bowl, so there was plenty of it~ Garlic dipping sauce and pickles come standard too.

I'd never tried Eopija's oven spaghetti before, and it was satisfying: loaded with cheese, and a spaghetti with a deep tomato sauce flavor.

Classic pepperoni pizza and the free nachos

Next up was the pepperoni pizza, haha. It was cut into small pieces so it was easy to eat, with plenty of cheese on top, and the crust edges were baked crispy, which went really well with the garlic dipping sauce.

The free nachos weren't soggy and the sauce was tasty, and with side dishes this good, I think Eopija is also a great pub to come to for a second round.

The garden salad was also really fresh and tasty, and with so much corn in it, we got to enjoy a generous corn salad the whole time, haha.

And now the grand finale, the Cass draft beer, haha. Just from the density of the foam, you can tell the beer kegs are very well looked after at Eopija.

It's the kind of taste that blows away the sweltering heat, and it was so good that even though I had to go to work the next day, I just kept going here~~

Verdict: Eopija for after-work pizza and beer at Yeomchang Station

I came to Eopija, the pub near Yeomchang Station, determined to have a beer today. It's right by the station, so on a hot day like these it was great to get indoors quickly, and for people coming by car, the cheap public parking lot right next to the shop should make it easy, haha.

Both the portions and the quality are excellent for the price, and with happy hour running until 8pm, it earns my "good shop" stamp~~ If you're looking for a pub near Yeomchang Station or a good pizza place in Mokdong, Eopija is worth a visit.
