Yeonnam-dong café for fresh strawberry latte by folding doors: Pip

Pip Espresso Bar (피프에스프레소바) is a big café in Yeonnam-dong. I was recently out strolling around Yeonnam-dong when I spotted a dessert café with a gorgeous terrace. It's famous for its coffee, but I loved the desserts and the vibe too, so I think I'll be going a lot. Here's my review of Pip Espresso Bar!

Where is Pip Espresso Bar, and what about parking?

This Yeonnam-dong café sits near Gyeongui Line Forest Park, in one of those atmospheric side streets you'll probably run into at some point while wandering Yeonnam-dong. 🅿️ Parking is difficult, so if you drive, use a nearby public parking lot!

Tented terrace and dog-friendly vibes at Pip Espresso Bar

The outdoor terrace at Pip Espresso Bar has an awning, so you can stay out of the sun, and a breeze comes through nicely, which looks perfect for a relaxed, healing break 💭🩵 It's a converted ground floor of a house, so the mood is lovely, and as a dog-friendly café in Yeonnam-dong it's perfect for bringing a cute pup too!

Inside, Pip Espresso Bar is calm and moody. The space is big and open to the outdoors, so it feels airy, and I could stay a long time without feeling stuffy ·͜· 🤍 Vintage lamps are placed here and there, full of charm, and photos came out so pretty!

Behind the counter there's also cold water you can help yourself to.

The menu at this Yeonnam café is split into espresso, signature, non-coffee, dessert and cocktails, and as you'd expect from a place known for good coffee, there were plenty of bean options :D If you sit in, the first drink is at table price and the second drink onward is at standing price. We picked the best-seller menu items the staff recommended: panna salata and fresh strawberry latte.

The desserts are as varied as the coffee. Tiramisu, stroopmore, a picadia platter and more, just looking at them made my eyes happy . • · ̟*. The bestselling banana crumble tiramisu looked so good that I ordered it right away ~ haha

Pip Espresso Bar also sells its beans separately, so if you like the coffee, you can order some to take home! Each bean has a nice flavor description, so coffee lovers, get get get!

At the window seats of Pip Espresso Bar, the folding doors are thrown wide open, so even though you're inside, it feels cool and breezy like sitting on the terrace ˖˚ ͙ෆ

How is the panna salata? Pink salt cream espresso

The panna salata combines espresso, cream and pink salt, with pink salt sprinkled over the cream. The saltiness on the tip of your tongue lifted the espresso's flavor even more. Made by a Blue Ribbon café in Yeonnam-dong, it was delicious down to the last sip 👅

How refreshing is the fresh strawberry latte?

The fresh strawberry latte at Pip Espresso Bar has real strawberry pieces you can bite into, and it's sweet and tangy, so totally my taste. It had the natural flavor of fresh strawberries rather than an artificial sweetness, which made it even better 🤍🤍

Bestseller banana crumble tiramisu

The banana crumble tiramisu I ordered for dessert is piled high with Lotus crumble over the tiramisu, with nicely sliced banana in the middle. It looks too good to be bad 🤟

With the first spoonful, a rich espresso aroma spreads, and the sweetness of the banana and the nuttiness of the Lotus crumble blend together perfectly! They're as serious about desserts as they are about coffee here ,, 🤍

Would I go back to Pip Espresso Bar?

This Yeonnam-dong café, Pip Espresso Bar, was a Blue Ribbon–awarded terrace café with a great mood, and the coffee, desserts and space all satisfied me. I plan to revisit on a nice day —̳͟͞͞♡
