Yongsan tteokbokki restaurant with two of every fritter: Hyeonseonine
Hyeonseonine Yongsan Main Branch is a tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) restaurant near Sinyongsan Station in Yongsan, Seoul, which started out as a street cart in 2004. On a Yongsan date heading to the Yeouido Fireworks Festival, the Hyeonseonine Combo Set in medium spice arrived with tteokbokki, fish cake, homemade mini gimbap (seaweed rice rolls) and two of every kind of fritter — just right to share between two. Medium spice still had a real kick for anyone spice-shy, but the sauce at Hyeonseonine was good enough to bring us back.
