Thursday eel buffet in Jungangdong, Ansan, 8-seat tables: Songnim Bok

Today I'm introducing a freshwater eel restaurant near Ansan City Hall: Songnim Bok Jangeo Freshwater Eel All-You-Can-Eat Ansan City Hall Direct Store (송림복장어). I visited on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 4:50 pm.

What are the hours and parking like at Songnim Bok's Ansan City Hall store?

The Ansan City Hall Direct Store is open Monday to Sunday, 11:50 to 23:00, with no regular days off. It's on the 2nd floor at 33 Danggok-ro, Danwon-gu, Ansan, Gyeonggi.

You can park in the building's basement lot. In Jungangdong it's hard enough to find a spot even in the public lots, so free parking in the building itself is a huge relief.

This all-you-can-eat eel barbecue place in Jungangdong, Ansan, sits in a commercial building near Jungang Station and Ansan City Hall.

Jungang Station and a bus stop are right nearby, so it's easy to reach on foot or by public transport, and with free basement parking it's convenient by car too. A great meat spot in Jungangdong, Ansan.

What are the seats and open kitchen like inside Songnim Bok?

The Ansan City Hall Direct Store has a clean, modern interior where you can eat in a relaxed atmosphere.

The spacious interior is really tidy and clean, a pleasant place for a fun get-together and a good meal.

The hall has 4-person and 8-person tables, and the tables are bigger than at other restaurants, so you can eat comfortably without feeling cramped. I loved that.

There are no private rooms, but there is group seating at the back, so a group visit should feel reasonably private.

The kitchen is an open kitchen, so you can see right into it. The photo below says it all: it's kept spotlessly clean, so you can visit without worrying about hygiene.

Since this is an all-you-can-eat freshwater eel restaurant, there's a time limit. It's 2 hours, so keep that in mind when you visit.

What's at the self-serve corner at Songnim Bok?

The self-serve bar is also loaded with the main items, eel and pork belly, so you can eat as much as you like without feeling awkward about it. Love it.

A tray of eggs costs over ₩10,000 these days, and here the fried eggs are unlimited. I'm honestly a little worried they're being too generous!

All-you-can-eat for 2 adults at Songnim Bok: what are the side dishes?

We ordered the all-you-can-eat for 2 adults, and the basic side dishes came as follows.

• Shredded ginger
• White kimchi
• Pickled perilla leaves
• Seasoned skate
• Pickled onion
• Green onion kimchi
• Garlic
• Ssamjang (dipping paste)
• Lettuce, perilla leaves and cheongyang chili peppers

A free bottle of bokbunja wine as an opening event

As an opening event, Songnim Bok gives out bokbunja wine, and it's not a glass but a whole bottle! Neighbors, hurry over and grab some bokbunja that pairs so well with freshwater eel.

One of the side dishes is seasoned flatfish, and it's not only great with the bokbunja, the tangy flavor cuts the richness of the eel. Best combo. Now, shall we have a glass of bokbunja? ^^~

With the bokbunja poured, the main dishes finally arrived: freshwater eel, pork belly and duck neck. At Songnim Bok it's not just the eel, the pork belly and duck neck are all-you-can-eat too.
