Charcoal cleansing balm makeup removal test: HEEDA Jirisan

What was the texture and feel like?

This was a 100ml cleansing balm in all-black packaging. When I opened the lid, I could see the black product inside, and scooping it with the included spatula, it felt dense yet soft—rather like petroleum jelly.

When I put it on the back of my hand and rolled it around, it melted with my body heat and spread out smoothly. The product information said it contains 13 natural ingredients, including Korean Jirisan true charcoal, white rice flower, camellia oil, green tea, houttuynia cordata, and jojoba.

How did I use it?

I scooped out an appropriate amount with the spatula, rolled it over my face for 30 seconds, then, once it began to melt, added water to emulsify it before rinsing with water. The instructions said to focus on rolling the nose area more thoroughly.

Did it remove color makeup well?

I applied the foundation, eyeliner, eyebrow product, tint, and mascara I usually use to my wrist to check its cleansing power. As I scooped out the product and rolled it around with my fingers, I could see the makeup melting away.

Because this was a wrist test rather than a facial test, I skipped emulsifying and wiped it away with a wet wipe. I confirmed that the color products, including mascara, wiped off; although I tend to get red easily from irritation, I did not feel any redness in this test.
