In short
Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch is a hair salon on the first floor of the Centrass arcade in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, near Sangwangsimni Station. One week before the wedding, long hair with leftover red tones was dyed a chocolate brown tone-down shade using a green-based formula, and the red was almost fully neutralized into a calm, even color. Today I'm bringing you my review of getting a wedding tone-down dye at Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch, a Sangwangsimni hair salon. With my wedding coming up, I wanted to calm down my hair color before getting my wedding hair and makeup done. This treatment was done partly on my own dime. For anyone wondering how many days before a wedding to get their wedding dye, or what color to choose, I'm going to lay this out in detail from before the treatment to after, hope it helps!

Where is Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch? Centrass arcade, unit 118
The place I visited was Oreudeubi Hair Sangwangsimni Station Branch, a Wangsimni hair salon. It's located inside the Centrass shopping arcade, so it wasn't hard to find.

Once you enter the arcade, you'll see the door in the photo. Go through this door and you'll immediately see the directory. Just find #118 there and head over! Once you're through the door, the shop is right there, so it was easier to find than I expected.
If you're looking for a salon around Sangwangsimni, this location is worth noting. It's also an easy reach for anyone looking for a Sindang Station hair salon, so worth considering together.

Inside Oreudeubi: white-toned interior and a coffee machine
The interior was decorated in an overall white tone, giving it a clean, sophisticated atmosphere. The interior design was pretty and everything felt tidy, so I liked it from first impression. Most of all, the treatment chair was comfortable so sitting for a long time wasn't a big issue.

There was also a coffee machine set up on one side. For treatments that take a long time like dyeing or perming, the shop atmosphere and chairs actually matter quite a bit, and it was great to be able to get the treatment comfortably!

Hair before the dye: long hair with leftover red tones
First let me show you my hair condition before the treatment. I'd been growing my hair out for the wedding, so it was at max long length. But it had been a while since my last tone-down dye, so there was a lot of red left toward the ends. On top of that, there was quite a bit of hair damage. On the other hand, the roots looked black because of the newly grown hair.

As you can see in the photos, the color wasn't even overall, with a lot of red left toward the ends. With the wedding coming up soon, I felt like it would be a bit of a shame to get my wedding hair and makeup done like this.

The wedding color goal: chocolate brown with no red
The color I wanted was a chocolate brown with no red tones. I was thinking of the calm brown tones that a lot of brides go for before their wedding, and I brought along photos of the look I wanted ahead of time. I wanted something calm and elegant rather than too bright a brown. I wanted a color that would blend naturally without standing out too much with the wedding dress and makeup. Since there was a lot of red left in my existing hair, it was especially important to get that handled properly.

Consultation: the green-based formula that cancels red tones
This treatment was done with Designer Youngjun. I showed him the photo I brought and told him the color I wanted, and after looking at my current hair condition, he explained that he'd use a green-based formula to neutralize the red. I don't know much about dyeing, but I liked that he explained in detail along the way what principle was being used to fix the color. Rather than just applying the product and waiting, getting explanations of what was being done at each step made me feel much more at ease. Since this was a pre-wedding dye, I wanted to avoid the color coming out too bright or the red coming back, and I appreciated that he carefully confirmed the direction I wanted.

Service during the dye at Oreudeubi
When I mentioned it was hot that day, a fan was brought over right away. They also brought me coffee! Sitting through a long dye job can get surprisingly hot and stuffy, so I appreciated the thoughtful attention. The staff overall were friendly and I could get the treatment in a comfortable atmosphere.

After Designer Youngjun carefully applied the formula to my hair and enough time had passed, I moved to the shampoo room.

The massage chair in the shampoo room was the highlight
The shampoo room was seriously legendary though. The shampoo chair wasn't a regular chair, it was a massage chair you could lie down and get a massage in! Lying in the massage chair while they washed my hair was genuinely comfortable.

After sitting for so long during the dye process, lying down comfortably for the shampoo felt like paradise haha. I nearly fell asleep during the shampoo. Even a small detail like this seems to make a big difference to satisfaction during a long treatment!

After the wedding dye: did the red tones disappear?
The treatment was finally done! The first thing I noticed was that the red was almost entirely neutralized. As I wanted, an overall dark tone-down color was completed.

There had been a lot of red left before, but after the treatment it was much calmer, and the overall look was clean and sophisticated. I was especially happy that it came out close to the red-free chocolate brown I wanted!

Why the color at the ends fades naturally over time
That said, right after the treatment, the ends felt a little darker than I expected. But the designer explained that the color would fade gradually over time. Since I had about a week left before the wedding, the timing actually worked out well for my schedule. On the wedding day itself, I figured the color would have faded a bit more naturally, so the timing seemed just right.

How many days before a wedding should you dye your hair?
I got my dye done a week before the wedding. I was worried that going too dark right before the wedding might feel too heavy, but leaving about a week turned out to be just right. For wedding hair and makeup, I needed a color that was calm but still sophisticated, and this color was exactly that. Looking at the photos, my hair looked overall tidy, and I felt it would go well with the wedding dress too. If you're considering a tone-down dye before your wedding, I'd recommend preparing reference photos of the color you want before your consultation.
Pre-wedding dye at Oreudeubi Sangwangsimni Station Branch: wrap-up
I'd been debating where to get my wedding dye done, and after getting a tone-down dye at Oreudeubi Hair Sangwangsimni Station Branch, I was satisfied overall. What I liked most was how cleanly the leftover red in my hair got fixed. The calm chocolate brown tone I wanted came out, and the shade wasn't too heavy for doing it a week before the wedding. I also liked the detailed explanations about the color along the way, and having the fan and coffee brought over made the whole process comfortable. Most of all, the shampoo room massage chair was so satisfying haha. Hope this helps anyone looking for a Sangwangsimni hair salon or a Sindang Station hair salon before their wedding. This was Oreudeubi Hair Sangwangsimni Station Branch, where I got my wedding dye partly on my own dime, and overall I was satisfied!
