I tried the trendy cream latte for the first time at Small Town Coffee (스몰타운커피), a cozy café in Baebang, Asan, and oh my.. I get why it's so hot right now! I never drink lattes, but one sip of this cream latte opened my eyes like the blind man in the old folktale getting his sight back. Here's my review ♡
Is parking easy at Small Town Coffee in Baebang, Asan?
Yes, the parking lot at Small Town Coffee is huge, so it's really easy to come by car. I had a lunch appointment in Asan, ate a lot, and of course needed coffee afterward haha, so this café in Baebang, Asan was my second stop. First of all, the parking lot is this spacious, which is a big plus ^^^^
The exterior alone is already full of charm, and a blog neighbor of mine who went recently told me how delicious it was, so I rushed over. And wow, I totally see why they were raving about it!!
How is the seating inside Small Town Coffee divided?
The inside of Small Town Coffee is clean, and the space is divided into four areas.
The window zone, with green lawn and the village outside, felt airy and not stuffy at all. We grabbed a seat by the window ^^
There's also a slightly private space further inside, but guests were already chatting there, so I only photographed the other side ^^;;; Looks like word has already spread about this café in Baebang.
What did we order at Small Town Coffee?
We ordered an iced Americano, an iced cream latte and a slice of Basque cheesecake. Order first! Drinks picked, and I'd been craving Basque cheesecake since yesterday, so one slice of that too!
There are herbal teas too, so it looks good for coming with people who don't drink coffee.
Desserts range from plain scones to chocolate cookies, lemon cake and chocolate brownies. The brownie even has an ice cream add-on option!! Next time I'll bring my little one and get them a brownie topped with ice cream ^^
What are the courtyard yard and annex like at Small Town Coffee?
Small Town Coffee has a courtyard-style yard that's great for feeling the autumn weather. I grabbed the cute buzzer and headed out to the yard!!
Look how lovely the yard is~~ The sun was warm but the air was cool!! It's proper autumn weather right now, and it's such a pity this season is so short. The leaves changed color fast and many have already fallen, so it feels like winter is coming soon, and I'm already sad about it.. haha
If the wind had been a bit weaker I'd have loved to sit in the yard and relax.. but reality: it was blowing pretty hard, so back inside ;;haha. Anyway, this vibe is so good~♡
Across the yard from the main building, there's another annex-like space!! The air conditioning was of course working well there too, and the interior had a nice mood, just what you'd expect from a café in Baebang.
Someone, maybe a clothing model?, was even doing a photo shoot in the annex and yard, wow. Typical of Small Town Coffee, the Baebang café 🤩🤩 Then the buzzer went off and I headed back to the main zone, yay~~ How long has it been since I've seen a latte ^^
Is the cream latte at Small Town Coffee good enough to win over non-latte drinkers?
The iced cream latte at Small Town Coffee became the best latte of my life, and I'm someone who doesn't drink lattes. The iced Americano had a heavy body with no acidity, which was exactly my taste.
Sitting in front of the big window with the green lawn view, the photos came out so pretty too. Love it!! ^0^ The iced Americano has a heavy body but no acidity, so it was totally my taste. And this iced cream latte, honestly ㅠㅠ it became the best latte of my life.. What is that cream on top?????? Sweet, silky cream that makes your eyes go wide automatically with the first bite ^^!! Be careful not to inhale the cocoa powder on top through your nose haha
Basque cheesecake at Small Town Coffee: size and texture
The Basque cheesecake I'd wanted so badly!! It isn't big, so it's just right as an after-meal dessert, and the key is that it's rich and dense without being dry ^^^^
Asan café recommendation: our overall verdict on Small Town Coffee
The second stop was even more satisfying than the main meal~🫶 Small Town Coffee is famous as a cozy café in Baebang!! It's near Galmae Health Clinic, parking is super easy, and you can feel the season here🫶 If you ask me to recommend a café in Asan, I'll pick Small Town Coffee!! Please, please try the cream latte, highly, highly recommended!!! ^^
