Cordless fabric shaver for sweaters and cardigans: Panasonic

I love wearing sweaters and cardigans, but pilling builds up easily when I pick up and put down my child or carry a bag packed with my child's things. This time, I freshened up some knits I had been reaching for less with the Panasonic Cordless Fabric Shaver.

What clothes did I use the fabric shaver on?

Little by little, pills had appeared on the front, shoulders, and elbows of the knits I wear often. Even clothes I like stopped coming out of the closet as much once the surface started to look messy.

The fabric shaver I already had at home was disappointing at removing pills, so I barely used it. As a result, even my favorite cardigans and sweaters spent more time in the closet.

Did its hand-sized body remove pills well?

I ordered it from Coupang, and at the time it arrived the next day through Rocket Delivery.

It was a comfortable size to hold in one hand. At first, it looked smaller than I expected, so I wondered if it would be weak, but it removed pills well when I actually used it.

The construction was simple too. Twisting the top lid opened the lint bin, while twisting the bottom lid exposed the blade section.

How did the knit surface and pocket area change?

When pills appeared on my knitwear, the surface looked messy and it bothered me. I tried it mainly on the pilled areas.

After passing over the knit a few times, the pills were cleared away. With my previous product, I had to repeat the same spot many times, and the surface felt as though it was getting damaged in the process. This time, there was almost no scraping feeling on the garment. I cleaned up the pocket area first, so I could compare it with the surrounding area.

Which speed level did I use most?

You can press the button to adjust the speed across three levels. I mainly used level 1, and it was enough to tidy up pills on my knits. When I raised it to level 3, I could feel the difference in both the sound and the strength of operation.

Was cleaning up after use easy?

What I disliked about my previous product was lint dust flying around. This one uses automatic suction, which gathers the removed pills inside, so cleanup after use was easy.

There was a lot of collected lint when I used it, but I did not need to empty the bin midway. The lint bin felt generously sized.

Could I charge it and care for several garments in a row?

Because it is cordless, it was easy to move wherever I wanted to use it.

It charges via USB-C, and a charging cable was included in the box. Charging felt quick too.

Was it comfortable on my wrist for longer use?

It fit in my palm, so there was almost no strain on my wrist even when I held and used it for a long time. I liked the white color too, and since it did not stand out when left in a drawer or on a shelf, it was easy to keep out and use often.

What did I like after finishing my knit care?

What I liked most was that the pills came off the knit I used it on with almost no scraping feeling on the surface. The lower setting was enough, and the way lint collected in the bin and the cordless use were convenient too.

I was happy that I could tidy up the surfaces of clothes I had been reaching for less because of pilling. For my life, where I wear knits often, it was an easy-to-reach care tool.
