Looking for a rattan bag to carry both on vacation and every day?
While looking for a resort bag ahead of a trip, I tried the Meda Bag women's summer rattan shoulder bag. Rather than a design that was simply lightweight, I wanted a rattan bag I could carry day to day too, and I felt it worked well with both vacation looks and everyday outfits.

It arrived neatly packaged. Once I had it in hand, I thought it would be nice to carry on a resort trip.

How are the zip closure and storage?
My favorite feature was that the entire opening can be closed with a zipper. Unlike rattan bags that are open at the top, it was convenient not to worry about belongings falling out while I was on the move.

I stored everything from small items such as a wallet, phone, and sunglasses to larger things like an umbrella. The inside has a divided storage section, which was nice for separating and organizing smaller belongings.

I could fit an umbrella, water bottle, pouch, sunscreen, and even a hat all at once. It was useful for bringing along the things I needed while traveling.

How did the size and fit feel?
The stated dimensions of 40 wide by 60 tall gave it presence without making it feel overly large. It was just right for me, since I wanted to pack what I needed at a resort without carrying an enormous bag.

It went naturally with dresses, linen pants, denim, and slacks. Beyond travel, it also felt easy to carry in everyday life on a nice-weather day.

What do the rattan weave and beige color feel like?
The rattan weave held its shape to some extent rather than feeling floppy or limp. I could carry it with a reassuringly stable feel even on days with lots of moving around.

I chose beige. It was not too yellow, matched a range of outfits easily, and comes in two colors: beige and brown.

I liked it even more in person than in the photos, and it would suit anyone looking for a rattan bag with zip storage while preparing for a summer trip or a winter trip to Southeast Asia.
