Pork omakase in Suwon's Ingye-dong with angelica pesto: Jipbul Taebaek

Jipbul Taebaek Suwon Ingye Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant on Nahyeseok-geori in Ingye-dong, Suwon, where staff sear the meat over a straw fire and then grill it at your table. An early dinner at 6pm covered pork belly, pork jowl and beef skirt (anchang-sal) with a side of cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew), and the neungi mushroom pesto and angelica root pesto served alongside the meat were the most memorable part. The grilling service felt like a pork omakase, which makes Jipbul Taebaek a place to return to for meat in Ingye-dong.
