Byeollae takeout bakery with parking, blueberry wakppu: Byway Bakers
In short
Byway Bakers Byeollae Branch is a takeout-only bakery right in front of Byeollae Byeolgaram Station in Namyangju, Gyeonggi. After parking in the lot behind the building, the writer took away a basic salt bread, a fresh blueberry yogurt wakppu salt bread and two americanos. The wakppu salt bread's white chocolate topping crackled with every bite, and the inside was packed with fresh blueberries and jam. With coffee from around ₩2,000 in large cups, Byway Bakers is an easy takeout stop when you're passing by.

Today I want to recommend a salt bread spot in Byeollae. It's called Byway Bakers, and even though it's takeout-only, customers just keep coming in nonstop — a real Byeollae salt bread favorite!
Location and parking at Byway Bakers Byeollae Branch
Byway Bakers Byeollae Branch is located at 27-10 Deoksong2-ro 10beon-gil, 1st Floor Unit 104, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, and it's open from 9 AM to 8 PM. Parking is available too.

This Byeollae salt bread bakery having parking was such a plus! There's a lot behind the building, so it's really easy to just drive by and grab a bag to go~ And since it's right in front of Byeollae Byeolgaram Station, it's also great for anyone using public transit! You can see the subway exit right from the storefront door! haha

Walking in, there were so many delicious-looking breads lined up — turns out they make everything in-house.

They even had a generous sample corner where I tried a piece — it was tasty haha. It was butter tteok (rice cake).
And I thought they only sold bread, but they had cakes too!! There was a mango mom cream cake, size 1, and it genuinely had mango piled on top and packed inside too — looked so good~~ I'll have to buy one for a special occasion sometime!!

What flavors of wakppu salt bread are there?
Byway Bakers' wakppu salt bread comes in four flavors: fresh peach yogurt, fresh mango yogurt, fresh blueberry yogurt, and sweet corn. True to being a Byeollae salt bread favorite, it's not just plain salt bread here!! Wakppu salt bread is actually what they're famous for, and the visuals are pretty striking, right? haha I wanted to try every single one.. My baby loves blueberries, so I picked up the blueberry one!

They also have every trendy bakery item you could want~ Dubai chocolate salt bread, dujjonkku, Dubai chocolate financiers too. There was also vanilla chocolate swirl bread, castella salt bread, and wakppu financiers — wow.. everything looked so good I genuinely wanted to grab one of each ㅠㅠ

Financier package prices
Byway Bakers' financiers come in a 10-piece package for ₩32,000, but if you buy 10, it's ₩25,000 and comes with a free handle box! The 5-piece package is ₩13,500, and the salty 5-piece package is ₩10,900 — pretty affordable. Would make a great return-gift too!!
And the visuals were genuinely the best.. even just the salty financiers and basic financiers looked so rich and fudgy, like they'd taste amazing!!! There's a wide variety too — fig financiers, almond chocolate financiers, gold cheese financiers.

There's also pistachio, Oreo, and vanilla financiers. So many varieties, and every single one looks like it would taste amazing haha. I genuinely wanted to sweep it all up..

Basic salt bread price and other bread types
Byway Bakers' basic salt bread is ₩2,900 each, and if you buy the 4-piece package, it's not ₩11,600 but ₩9,900! As the famous Byeollae salt bread spot, this is the number one signature item! It's an authentic soft-type salt bread made with only natural butter, staying true to the basics. You can't leave without trying the signature bread~~ so I picked one up~~~

Besides the basic salt bread, there's also egg salt bread and ham cheese salt bread.

There's also the trendy Shanghai butter tteok, and even a variation called injeolmi (sweet rice cake powder) butter tteok.

Besides that, every bread looked delicious — double chocolate baguette, Hong Kong pineapple bun. Wow.. a baguette that's already good on its own, filled with chocolate sticks, chocolate chips, and ganache.. I was so curious.
The egg tarts also looked amazing..!!! Thick and big, looking so delicious ㅠㅠ I wanted to try every single one and sweep it all up, but I held back and only bought a few.!!

₩2,000 americano — drink prices are great too
Byway Bakers also sells coffee — americano is ₩2,000, latte is ₩3,200, natural vanilla latte is ₩3,800. The prices are so good.!!!!!! They also have hot teas like lemon tea and grapefruit tea, plus peach, lemon, grapefruit, and orange hallabong iced teas and ades, all priced at ₩3,200–3,500 — really affordable. Except for the watermelon juice, everything's in the ₩2,000–3,000 range, so I figured the sizes would be small, but
Nope! They're this big!!!!!! Really great for grabbing a coffee to go if you're just passing by!!!!!! And the coffee was tasty too! Smooth haha and just the right amount of sweet!

So in the end I took home two coffees and bread to go~~ They pack it in such cute wrapping haha.

Basic salt bread taste
The salt bread I was curious about!! I like salt bread that stays true to the basics, and this one nailed it exactly. It's made with natural butter, so you can see the little hole where the butter melted through~~ It was savory and clean-tasting, and paired really well with coffee~!!

Fresh blueberry yogurt wakppu salt bread taste
And the wakppu salt bread I was curious about!! It looked like they'd brought in actual fruit haha. It looked so delicious I just had to try it~~ It was wrapped like that, but once I unwrapped it at home, it was hiding this look! Yogurt cream was generously drizzled all over the top — the visuals were amazing! The texture was amazing!!!!
When you cut into it, it cracks and crumbles — the texture is the best haha. I thought the top was just white chocolate, but inside there was a ton of yogurt cream, so it's refreshing and

Looking inside the salt bread, it's packed with fresh blueberries and blueberry jam!! There's so much inside that when you take a big bite, your mouth fills with blueberries popping between your teeth!

The white chocolate on the outside cracks crisply, and inside there's yogurt cream, and inside the salt bread itself there's blueberries popping between your teeth and moist blueberry jam — so many different textures and flavors all at once! This wakppu salt bread was a menu item I'd never seen anywhere else before Byway Bakers — distinctive and great!
