Dolsoe Ssambap
A weekend after-work dinner for two at Dolsoe Ssambap in Hanam Misa
On the weekend commute home... cooking dinner just felt like too much of a hassle, haha. My husband and I decided "let's just eat something delicious today!" and go out to eat. We both love ssambap (wrap rice with meat), so we headed to Dolsoe Ssambap in Misa — a place famous as a Korean ssambap restaurant in Hanam Misa. We went for dinner ^^

Where to park and how to find Dolsoe Ssambap
If you're driving, you can use the building's parking lot, and you get up to 2 hours of free parking registration after eating. It was great not having to worry about parking. The location is also close to Starfield, so it'd be perfect for combining shopping with a meal. Park on the A-dong side of the lot, take the elevator at hall 4, and Dolsoe Ssambap is right there when the doors open.

Dolsoe Ssambap's atmosphere and table spacing
Let's step inside. The dining hall was spacious with lots of tables. The other side was even bigger, but it was packed with customers so I couldn't get a photo. The table spacing wasn't cramped at all, which I really appreciated. At restaurants where the tables are too close together, you can hear the conversation at the next table over and feel awkward even getting up to use the bathroom, ugh. But here the spacing was generous and the whole place felt comfortable to eat in.

Being a Korean ssambap restaurant, there were a lot of families. I also spotted many reserved tables. Since it's near Starfield, plenty of people seemed to be there after shopping. It struck me as a good spot for an evening gathering in Misa too.
Ordering jeyuk ssambap with seafood ssamjang
Let's take a look at the menu. There were so many good-looking options that we agonized for a while, but in the end we went with our favorite — jeyuk ssambap (spicy stir-fried pork wrap set)! For the ssamjang (wrap dipping sauce) you could choose between seafood ssamjang or mackerel ssamjang, and I picked the seafood one. All menu items required orders for 2 or more, and doenjang jjigae and steamed egg custard came included as standard — I loved that. True to its reputation as a Korean ssambap restaurant in Hanam Misa, even the basic spread looked generous.

On the wall there were explanations of the seafood ssamjang and mackerel ssamjang, along with notes on the wrap greens provided.

Side dishes, doenjang jjigae and steamed egg
The side dishes came out one by one. They weren't just there for show — every single one was well seasoned and delicious. My husband especially loved the eggplant, saying it was cooked to perfection — not mushy from overcooking but just right. The other banchan (side dishes) were seasoned consistently, not too salty — whoever's in charge of seasoning here really has a gift! You know how at places like this, even the basic side dishes get you excited for the main course? ^^

The doenjang jjigae and steamed egg custard came out together. The doenjang jjigae had big chunks of vegetables and tofu, which I loved — none of that stew where you're just spooning up broth trying to find the actual ingredients; every spoonful was loaded. And just like the side dishes, the seasoning was spot on — not too salty, so I could take a big bite of the wrap and a spoonful of broth without it feeling heavy.
As for the egg custard, words fail me... ♥︎ It was soft like pudding with a wonderful sesame oil aroma, and as someone who loves egg custard, I gave it a big thumbs up.

First taste of seafood ssamjang and a generous portion of spicy pork
And then, my first time trying seafood ssamjang. It wasn't your regular ssamjang — with seafood mixed in, the umami was fantastic. Every wrap I ate had this burst of extra flavor! That seafood ssamjang made the wraps taste even better. It also wasn't too salty, so I could pile it on generously.
After a short wait, the jeyuk bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork) arrived. Completely generous!!! It came piled high in a big bowl, and just looking at it made my mouth water. The portion was plenty for the two of us. Jeyuk really is a menu that never disappoints ♥︎ The savory, slightly salty sauce paired perfectly with rice.

The 8 wrap greens and how refills work
It's delicious enough just piled over rice, but since we came to a ssambap restaurant, we had to wrap it properly, haha. And what I loved most was the wrap greens. Today's set was angelica, lettuce, kale, perilla leaf, romaine, kelp, cabbage, and red chard.

The wrap greens are refillable!! When you ask for a refill, they bring it out in a separate dish. I like wrapping my meat with two leaves at a time, so at places without unlimited wrap greens I always end up running short. Here I could refill without worrying about it, which was so nice. Piling on plenty of greens, a piece of pork, a little rice, and taking a bite — total happiness ♥︎ With so many different greens to choose from, it was fun switching it up one by one. Loading the jeyuk bokkeum with greens and topping it with seafood ssamjang, I really felt glad we came for ssambap.

10% off with a receipt review, and the verdict
After eating our fill, we went to pay and noticed a receipt review event was running. Participating gets you 10% off, so if you visit, definitely take part ^^ A hearty jeyuk ssambap with 12 side dishes and a variety of wrap greens — Dolsoe Ssambap in Misa was thoroughly satisfying. Since you can refill the wrap greens, it'd be especially good for anyone who wants a generous mix of meat and vegetables.
I'd recommend it for family meals, for anyone looking for a lunch spot in Hanam, or an evening gathering place in Misa. If you want a hearty Korean meal near Starfield, give the jeyuk ssambap at Dolsoe Ssambap, the Korean ssambap restaurant in Hanam Misa, a try ^^
