In short

Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo (카페디아즈 갤러리아 광교점) is a takeout café on basement level 1 of Galleria Gwanggyo in Suwon, known for reserved whole cakes and slice cakes. Nursing a cold, the writer chose a lemon tea, her husband picked a milk tea, and the couple took a peach cream slice cake home, where the fresh, crunchy peaches stood out. Café Diaz is a good Gwanggyo cake shop for booking an anniversary whole cake in advance.

How does the Café Diaz peach cream slice cake taste?

When I ate the Café Diaz peach cream slice at home, I felt like I could fall head over heels for that mellow sweetness. ♡ The peaches were drizzled with syrup, so they were sweet yet tangy, and the crunchy texture was simply the best. Above all, the peaches were really fresh 😍

Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo: final verdict

Café Diaz inside Galleria Gwanggyo

Café Diaz is in the B1 food hall of Galleria Gwanggyo, so it was a nice place for dessert after shopping or a visit to Aquaplanet. You can get the cakes and drinks of this well-known Suwon café right inside the department store, so access was easy too.

Cream cakes topped with plenty of seasonal fruit

Café Diaz's signature was the cream cake generously topped with fruit. Fruit cakes with figs, blueberries, mango, peaches, Shine Muscat grapes and more are prepared by season, so browsing the showcase was fun in itself.

From slice cakes to whole cakes

Besides slice cakes that are easy to enjoy, Café Diaz also sells spoon-it cakes and whole cakes, so you can choose depending on your purpose. For special days you can reserve a whole cake in advance and pick it up, which is handy for birthday or anniversary cakes.

Drinks that pair well with cake

Besides coffee, Café Diaz had cream lattes, nut cream lattes, ades, milk tea, teas and other drinks. Every item allows an extra shot or a switch to decaf, so it was easy to pick a drink to suit your taste alongside the cake.

Takeout only: where can you sit?

Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo runs as a takeout-only shop with no café seating of its own. Instead, you can use the Galleria food court right next door and the shared seating on the same floor, so you can enjoy your cake and drink comfortably after buying.

Anniversary cakes and dessert gifts

Besides whole cakes, Café Diaz also has baked sweets (gumgwaja), fruit lunchboxes, cup fruit and party supplies, so it works for many uses. It was convenient for picking up a quick dessert while shopping or preparing a cake for a birthday or anniversary.
