What is the atmosphere like inside Famous Benny in Millak-dong?
Famous Benny is a brunch café built around Australian-style brunch, and it opens at 8am, so you can enjoy brunch and coffee nice and early :-) The stylish feel hit me right from the entrance.
The counter caught my eye with its clean, wood-toned interior. The space gets lots of natural light and has a properly hip mood. Maybe because it was so crowded,, ㅜㅜ the owner looked super busy ㅜㅜ haha
There were coffee beans set out in front of the counter, and it looks like they sell them too!! ☕️
Oh, and I saw that you get a blueberry cream cheese toast if you leave a receipt review, so you might want to try it!! (A whole toast, they say!!! 🍞)
First- and second-floor seating and the dog-friendly terrace
Inside, Famous Benny is split into the 1st and 2nd floors, and the 1st floor looked good for solo visitors. There is also outdoor seating, and dogs are allowed 🐶 The restroom is next to the stairs, just so you know!
Reading seats with outlets for solo laptop work
Every reading seat at Famous Benny has an outlet, so working on a laptop is possible too!! 👩💻 It also seemed like a nice place to come for some time to yourself.
There's a round table for groups, and the tone and layout are so tidy that the mood feels special,, haha The warm lighting, wood-toned interior and thoughtful arrangement all add up to the charm of Famous Benny's space.
In one corner there's a water dispenser, cups, cutlery and blankets, so it's all set up for you to use comfortably haha
The best seat at Famous Benny: tables by the big windows
There are tables in front of the big windows too, and those were the seats I wanted most haha And when you finish, you just leave your tray at the table and the owner clears everything, which was convenient!!
Sitting back and eating brunch there felt so drowsy-good that I wanted to stay for a long time. Maybe because it's so newly opened, it was definitely clean, and there were lots of customers!

When you walk into Famous Benny, the owner puts a menu in your hand haha I liked that you can find a seat first and then pick and order in peace!
They have drip coffee too, everyone!! The recommended items are Famous Benny's signature eggs Benedict, "The Famous Benny", and coffee made with Dukes beans,, haha Do give them a try ❤️

A matcha latte I kept sipping even when full
I'd come after a meal, so I was really full, but Famous Benny's matcha latte was so good I kept going and going!! Isn't the straw adorable,, 🧃 You can't not love matcha, right 🫠
Doesn't it totally feel like a relaxed weekend-morning brunch, hahahaha The plating was so neat and pretty that it was hard to cut into ㅜㅜ If you peek at the brunch dishes at other tables, you can see the great care in the desserts and plating, and they look too pretty to eat ㅜㅜ
Sourdough ham cheese toast: a tangy bite that may divide opinion
Famous Benny's ham cheese toast combines sourdough, ham, mozzarella and cheddar :-) But in my personal taste.. maybe because it's sourdough, I thought the tangy flavor could divide opinion. Still, it's naturally fermented bread, so it's good for your health and I figure lots of people look for it these days haha
Who should visit Famous Benny in Millak-dong?
Famous Benny is close to Gwangalli, so it would be great to stop by while walking around the area or after a run along the Gwangalli running course. It seemed like a top-notch café for a date 👩❤️👨 and as a dog-friendly café 🐶 ✨ The interior, the location, and the carefully made brunch menu too! You won't regret it ➰
