Seongsu café with noon salt bread and outdoor seats: LOOOP Bakery

I went to my favorite neighborhood, Seongsu, and I was craving my favorite bread of all — salt bread — so, so badly!

But as everyone knows, the famous bakeries in Seongsu-dong have crazy long waits, right?

So this time, instead of wasting energy standing in line, I went to LOOOP Bakery's Seongsu location — a large bakery café with lots of space and seats, so there'd be no waiting worries!

This place uses the entire building, from the 1st to the 3rd floor — a truly massive café, so there was no way it could run out of seats!

Plus, they even had outdoor seating that was bursting with atmosphere!

I first sat inside the store, but the AC felt a bit chilly, so I moved to the outdoor seats and enjoyed my coffee and dessert at ease.

Eating dessert outside with the breeze was truly the best!

What goes on the display when bread comes out at noon

I heard that at LOOOP Bakery, bread starts getting laid out one by one from noon, so I timed my visit to arrive exactly at 12.

And sure enough, the display case had a truly wide variety of bakery items prepared!

From cute fruit-shaped cakes to eye-catching desserts, everything looked delicious haha

But since I came that day with my eyes set only on salt bread —

I headed straight to the salt bread corner without hesitation.

There were actually 3 kinds of salt bread, and among them I chose the condensed milk salt bread and the plain salt bread, which caught my heart!

Lemony Americano: still tastes strong as the ice melts

For a drink, I tried the lemony Americano, which mixes a lemon base with bitter espresso.

The name "lemony Americano" is so intuitive and straightforward, I think it was so well named! Hahaha

Actually, I first tried a lemony Americano years ago when a friend bought me one in Haebangchon.

I remember it being so delicious that I ordered a lemony Americano whenever I saw it on a menu at other cafés afterward, but...

I could never find a place that recreated that flavor ㅠㅠ But then!! Right here at LOOOP Bakery in Seongsu, I found my ultimate lemony Americano again!

LOOOP Bakery's lemony Americano was truly amazing from the first sip to the very last!! Hahaha The moment you drink it, the refreshing aroma of lemon and the savory bitterness of espresso blend insanely well in your mouth, and it's the kind of addictive drink you just keep sipping!

Usually with fruit-based drinks like this, once the ice melts over time they get watered down, right?

But here, even as the ice melted, it didn't get watery at all and kept its refreshing, bitter flavor all the way to the end — I was drinking it in awe! If you like lemony Americanos, you absolutely have to try this one haha

How the plain and condensed milk salt breads taste

And finally, I faced my beloved salt bread! I got greedy that day and wanted to binge on salt bread, so I ordered two! And as expected, my choice wasn't wrong... it was so delicious!

With the plain salt bread, one bite in, the outside was lightly crispy while the inside felt moist and chewy.

Especially since the coarse salt was stuck generously on the surface of the bread, every bite clearly brought out the salty flavor along with the rich, savory butter flavor on the tip of my tongue! The balance between saltiness and savoriness was truly perfect.

And the condensed milk salt bread had sweet, soft condensed milk soaked into the savory salt bread base, showing off the textbook definition of sweet-and-salty! The outside was salty and the inside was sweet and moist, so I kept devouring it without ever getting tired of it. Hahahaha

I genuinely dare to call this place a salt bread hotspot hahaha Everyone, don't waste your time waiting in long lines elsewhere — order every kind of salt bread here and try them all haha It's seriously, seriously delicious haha

Seats, rooftop terrace and the free self-photo studio

LOOOP Bakery's use of space was amazing, not just its desserts! There were already tons of seats on the first floor, but going up to the second floor there were even more seats!

They even had a rooftop terrace space, so while it's great during the day, I imagine the lighting and atmosphere at night would be amazing too!

On top of that, there was a self-photo studio space set up on one side of the store where you can take your own pictures!

Apparently the space is available for free rental, so if you're interested in using it, this could be good to know!

For café customers, they lend out a Polaroid camera for free for 1 hour, and you can also use the shooting equipment in the store, though printing the photos costs extra!

It felt like they really made the most of being a large café, using the space wisely.

I thought it was such a smart touch — it functions like a studio while also letting guests comfortably hang out at the café and leave with memory photos haha

LOOOP Bakery had plenty of seats, an open and pleasant atmosphere, delicious coffee, and dessert breads that were perfectly delicious too! Hahahaha
