Halls Gimbap Main Branch, a gimbap restaurant near Gyodae Station

What kind of snack restaurant is Halls Gimbap near Gyodae Station?
Halls Gimbap Main Branch is a well-known spot near Gyodae Station where you can enjoy home-style gimbap (seaweed rice roll) alongside handmade dakgangjeong (Korean fried chicken).
Halls Gimbap has enough of a following that it even has branches, and it's the undisputed top dog in this area — waiting in line during peak hours is just expected. You can taste the skill and secret techniques of an owner who's been running this place for a long time.

There are tables inside the store too, so plenty of people are eating in, delivery riders keep coming and going, and there's also a steady stream of takeout customers... it's seriously a gimbap shop on fire!

How to order at Halls Gimbap and what's at the self-serve broth bar
At Halls Gimbap Main Branch, you can order at the counter for cash or Zero Pay, and if you're paying by card, order through the kiosk!

Right next to it is the self-serve bar with the menu posted, where you can also enjoy broth brewed from bonito flakes.

With a wide variety of gimbap plus dakgangjeong and tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cakes), it's a can't-avoid trio, and Halls Gimbap is the perfect place to enjoy them all. There's a wide range of drinks too!

On top of that, since I can't resist the gimbap-plus-ramyeon combo, there's a good variety of cup ramyeon too — let's go with carbo-fire noodles for the first time in a while!

I think Halls Gimbap used to be a different gimbap place, but they've carried on the same skill, so you can trust Halls!

Ingredients and where they come from
Origin check ✔️ Aside from unavoidable ingredients, Halls Gimbap Main Branch insists on domestic Korean sourcing. Above all, the dakgangjeong here reportedly uses only domestic chicken thigh meat prepped fresh every morning, so you can eat with confidence.

Konjac minari gimbap, 6,500 won
Since Halls Gimbap cooks its egg strips and fish cake in high-quality olive oil, among the many menu items I chose a vegetarian-friendly gimbap — a dreamy combo of chewy konjac and fragrant, crunchy minari (water dropwort), the top pick for anyone dieting! Konjac minari gimbap (₩6,500).

With both konjac and minari packed in, you can keep the calories in check — a menu item everyone loves.

The fire noodle carbonara combo 👏 this might just be a flavor unique to Halls Gimbap!
Protein tteokbokki without rice cakes, 10,000 won
And one more thing. Protein tteokbokki (₩10,000).

Two eggs, domestic cabbage, fresh domestic green onion, and 250g of boneless chicken. Loaded generously with ingredients that dieters love, all in a healthy and delicious tteokbokki sauce made by the owner personally! It uses unrefined cane sugar for a clean, healthy flavor!

Gimbap loaded with vegetables plus a rice-cake-free bokki dish packed with protein — eating both together makes for such a healthy meal!

Good portions that are easy to pack away neatly, making this a great spot for takeout and delivery too.
