Siheung shabu-shabu for two with kalguksu and porridge: Pyeonbaek

Pyeonbaek Hoegwan Siheung Janggok Branch is an all-you-can-eat cypress-steamed (pyeonbaek) and shabu-shabu restaurant on the 3rd floor of Janggok Edu Tower in Janggok-dong, Siheung, Gyeonggi. A couple visited after hearing the restaurant had been renovated and ordered the clear mushroom broth plus spicy broth set for two, worked through the self-serve bar and cypress steam refills, then finished with kalguksu noodles in the spicy broth and rice porridge in the mushroom broth. Even for someone who eats shabu-shabu at least once a month, Pyeonbaek Hoegwan made for a genuinely filling meal.
