Ansan eel buffet with ₩3,000 table fee, 2-hour limit: Songnim Bok
In short
Songnim Bok Jangeo Wolpi Branch is an all-you-can-eat freshwater eel restaurant on Yesulgwangjang-ro in Sangnok-gu, Ansan. After an earlier visit to the brand's Baegot branch, the writer confirmed that the Wolpi Branch charges ₩29,900 per adult plus a ₩3,000 table fee and has a 2-hour limit, then grilled eel with pork belly and chicken neck alongside side dishes from the self-bar. With a roomy ground-floor hall and its own parking lot, Songnim Bok Jangeo Wolpi Branch suits families eating out by car.

Songnim Bok Jangeo in Wolpi-dong: is ₩29,900 the whole price?
The all-you-can-eat eel at Songnim Bok Jangeo Wolpi Branch is ₩29,900 for adults, but a ₩3,000 table setting fee is added separately, except for children. When you pick an eel buffet, parking and space matter just as much as the price. This time I went to Songnim Bok Jangeo in Wolpi-dong, Ansan.

I'd been to the same brand's Baegot branch before, so this place felt familiar. It has a self-bar, a big dining room, and a parking lot at a standalone ground-floor building, so it's a great option for a family meal.

Location and opening hours
The address of Songnim Bok Jangeo Wolpi Branch is 13 Yesulgwangjang-ro, Sangnok-gu, Ansan, Gyeonggi. The posted hours at the time of my visit were daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Is parking easy at the Wolpi Branch?
Yes, parking is easy, because the standalone building has its own parking lot. When going to a restaurant I always start by looking for parking, so I liked that. The restaurant is also on the ground floor, so there are no stairs or elevators to deal with.

Spacious hall and table layout
Inside, a wide hall with many tables opens up. Each table has a grill and ventilation, and there are windows, so the layout is easy to take in at a glance. If you're coming with a big group, it's best to ask ahead whether they can seat you together.
All-you-can-eat eel price, table fee and time limit
On the menu at the time of my visit, the adult all-you-can-eat price was ₩29,900 and elementary school children were ₩14,000. The thing to know: a ₩3,000 table setting fee is added, with children excluded!
- Adult all-you-can-eat: ₩29,900
- Elementary school child: ₩14,000
- Table setting fee: ₩3,000 (children excluded)
- All-you-can-eat time limit: 2 hours

The restaurant posts the 2-hour limit for all-you-can-eat. As a current event they also gave us one free bottle of bokbunja per table... I'm really happy about that.
Grilling eel and other meats together

The plate at our table held prepared eel and other meats together. Even on the rolled-up cut side of the eel, you could see the flesh.

If eating only eel feels like too much, there's also pork belly and chicken neck, which is great even when you come with kids. Rather than filling the grill all at once, it's better to add food in batches at the pace you eat.

Even though it's all-you-can-eat, the eel is in such good condition that this is a go-to place for our family meals.

What side dishes can you get at the self-bar?
Like the Baegot branch, the Wolpi Branch has a self-bar. The tables come with side dishes such as white kimchi, pickled radish wraps (ssam-mu), green onion kimchi and garlic, and the self-bar also had bean sprout soup.

You can pick the sides to go with your eel to suit your taste. Green onion kimchi, white kimchi, even pickled perilla leaves, so good.

Rather than piling up a lot at the start, take what you'll eat and go back for more if you need it. Even with all-you-can-eat, taking small amounts you'll actually finish feels better. And the pork belly and chicken neck, since you'd get sick of eating only eel, are so delicious..

Are meal dishes included in the all-you-can-eat?
No, the meal dishes at the Wolpi Branch aren't included in the all-you-can-eat price; you order them separately. If you want to add a meal after the eel, here are the prices.
- Eel soup: ₩10,000
- Yukgaejang (spicy beef soup): ₩10,000
- Mul-makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles in broth): ₩9,000
- Bibim-makguksu (spicy mixed buckwheat noodles): ₩9,000
- Spicy ramen: ₩5,000
- Rice: ₩1,000
Since they're not all included in the all-you-can-eat price, it helps to sort that out before ordering.
Songnim Bok Jangeo Wolpi Branch: worth another visit?
What I liked on this Wolpi-dong all-you-can-eat eel visit was the big dining room, the self-bar and the private parking lot. If you're looking for an eel place in Ansan for the family, compare the total price including the table fee, plus the time limit. If your group travels by car, parking is worth checking too.
