In short
Songnim Bok Jangeo Unlimited Freshwater Eel Siheung Baegot Direct Branch is an all-you-can-eat restaurant serving freshwater eel, pork belly and duck neck in Baegot, Siheung, Gyeonggi. The writer stopped at Songnim Bok Jangeo with Mom on the way back from a Seonjaedo trip and had the 29,900-won adult unlimited set for two. The thick, fresh freshwater eel had no fishy smell, and the tender duck neck stood out. Verdict: Songnim Bok Jangeo's Baegot branch is a good-value eel buffet for family dinners, with free parking.

An eel buffet in Baegot at the end of a Seonjaedo trip: Songnim Bok
On the day Mom and I got back from a trip to Seonjaedo, we decided to stop in Baegot for dinner. We'd been by the sea and were craving fish or seafood, so I searched for eel places in Siheung and found Songnim Bok Jangeo Unlimited Freshwater Eel Siheung Baegot Direct Branch (송림복장어 민물장어 무한리필 배곧 직영점).

It has a 4.86 star rating on Naver with 1,453 reviews +_+ To start with the conclusion: I strongly recommend this Baegot spot! I'll give you an honest review of my visit, so if you're looking for an all-you-can-eat eel place, read to the end and grab all the tips!
Location and how to get to the Baegot branch
The address is 43-7 Seouldaehak-ro 278beon-gil, Unit 133, 1F, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi, South Korea. By public transport, take bus 25-1 from Oido Station on Line 4 and get off at the 'Baegot Hansin The H' stop.
It's about a 5-minute walk from the stop, so it's not hard to find! It's in the busy part of Baegot, so it's also a great spot for a Baegot food tour 💙
What are the hours, and is parking free?
Hours are daily 11:30–23:00, and parking is free. It's open until 11 p.m., so it works for a late dinner too!
I thought parking might be hard in a busy area, but it was easy, and free on top of that. It's easy to get to by car, so it's perfect for a family meal out 👍 For questions, just call the restaurant.

Groups, reservations, takeout and facilities
Groups are welcome, and reservations and takeout are available. There's free Wi-Fi and a waiting area too, and the restrooms are separate for men and women. The eel soup is apparently boiled in-house and rich, so it would be a good way to finish the meal!

Unlimited menu and prices

The adult buffet is ₩29,900, and it includes unlimited fresh freshwater eel, plus whole pork belly and duck neck (ultong)! We ordered two adult portions. Eating all-you-can-eat eel in Siheung at this price was honestly the best value.

- Eel soup / yukgaejang (spicy beef soup) ₩10,000

Is the quality of the unlimited freshwater eel any good?
The fresh freshwater eel here was thick and tender with no fishy smell at all. Honestly, since it's an all-you-can-eat place, I worried the eel quality might be so-so. It was the opposite!

The eel was really thick and tender.
There was no fishy smell either, and it was so delicious I wanted to come back and eat it again.

They say live eels are prepped every morning and they don't use thawed frozen eel. No wonder it's famous as an eel spot in Siheung, haha (Mom said the eel was really good several times, too..)

The self-serve bar and pork belly
I also liked that you can help yourself at the self-serve bar without feeling awkward about it!

There's pork belly as well as eel, so I never got tired of it. Alternating eel and meat, I enjoyed it all the way to the end.

The duck neck that was as memorable as the eel
The duck neck included in the buffet was so good I still think about it! It was really tender and not dry at all.
It was well seasoned too, so it's delicious just grilled as is. It's as memorable as the eel, and I think it's Songnim Bok's special charm among Baegot restaurants 💙

Thick fresh freshwater eel, duck neck and pork belly, all unlimited. I really think it's unbeatable value.

Is the Baegot direct branch worth recommending?
The owner was kind too, so we left happy! If you're looking for an eel place in Siheung, or a Baegot restaurant for a family meal, I highly recommend Songnim Bok 👍
