Kotomo Coffee opened in an alley near Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station, and true to a brand-new café, both the exterior and interior were super clean. When I go on café-hopping trips, I consider taste and menu visuals a given, but store condition matters just as much to me. This place won me over right away with how tidy it looked!

The space isn't big, but plenty of customers kept coming and going while I was there. The calm wood tones throughout make it feel even more comfortable~~😌 It's a great coffee spot near Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station whether you want to sip quietly alone or stop by on your commute ••☕️

What I picked that day was the Kotomo Latte and the chocolate pound cake.

If you assumed a small space like this would only sell drinks, think again~~ The desserts to go along with them were pretty varied too. Egg tarts, pound cakes, cookies... the store may be small, but the menu was well stocked. Since it's summer, there was even a seasonal bingsu (shaved ice) 🍧 They really have it all,,!

What does the aged-milk Kotomo Latte taste like?

Kotomo's signature Kotomo Latte is made with aged milk instead of regular milk, and the moment I took a sip, the nutty, deep flavor of the milk itself filled my mouth. On the first sip, it felt smooth and gently sweet, so I wondered if I'd accidentally ordered a sweetened latte by mistake — turns out that's just what aged milk tastes like. It clings to your palate in a way that's totally different from a regular milk latte. A little sweet, nutty, and softer! Even while writing this I'm thinking about that first sip ,,☕

And Kotomo Coffee really gives you a generous amount. Even the cup size is different from other places. But it's delicious on top of that, so now I get why people call it a coffee spot worth visiting near Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station,, I finished it almost the moment it arrived ;; haha

Is the chocolate pound cake worth adding?

The chocolate pound cake I picked alongside it. The moist pound cake sponge is coated with a slightly firm chocolate shell on the outside, and the rich chocolate flavor was really good. As someone who loves chocolate, this hit the spot exactly -🤎 This one also disappeared very quickly, haha.

Most people visiting Kotomo Coffee probably order coffee to go, but if you love chocolate, definitely try this too.. the rich chocolate flavor pairs really well with the deep Kotomo Latte!
