No café to go to after the gym~~~ While figuring out where to head, I found Kotomo Coffee Yeongdeungpo-gu Office branch, a café near Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station. A place where you can enjoy fresh, delicious coffee and dessert every day!

Where Kotomo Coffee Yeongdeungpo-gu Office branch is and when it opens

Kotomo Coffee Yeongdeungpo-gu Office branch is at 91 Yangsan-ro, 1st floor, Unit 103, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, within walking distance of Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station. It's open weekdays 07:00–20:00 and weekends/holidays 07:00–18:00, with up to 1 hour of free parking in the building.

The entrance was a bit tricky to find — once you locate the building from the station, it's on the left side of the building. There's a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a disabled parking spot, so anyone can visit comfortably :) And up to 1 hour of free parking in the building lot too!

Inside Kotomo Coffee: a clean, simple space

Kotomo Coffee Yeongdeungpo-gu Office branch has a very clean, wood-toned interior. It has that feel of a coffee spot where a lot of office workers come by. A space that delivers a special moment in everyday life through fresh coffee and carefully prepared desserts every day.

Kotomo Coffee menu: Kotomo Latte, cold brew and summer bingsu

The menu at this Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station café was quite varied. Kotomo Coffee's signature Kotomo Latte uses their own aged concentrated milk for a richer, nuttier flavor. The Bongbong Cold Brew and Elderflower Cold Brew are made by Nondo Seochon, a cold brew specialist brand in Seochon — the beans are infused with muscat and elderflower aromas at the green bean stage, so you get the coffee's own flavor along with a subtle fragrance. With summer here, they also had bingsu (shaved ice dessert) on the menu, and it looked affordable and tasty!

Desserts made Kotomo Coffee's own way

The desserts also carry Kotomo Coffee's own special touch — the lemon pound cake and chocolate pound cake, developed together with a handmade cake workshop in Mangwon-dong, are made to Kotomo's own recipe and claim a moist texture with rich flavor. On top of that, there's the egg tart, with its crisp pastry and sweet custard, rounding out a variety of desserts to enjoy with coffee at this Yeongdeungpo-gu Office bakery café.

What does the Kotomo Latte taste like?

Kotomo Coffee's signature Kotomo Latte first won me over with its generous size haha. They say it uses their own aged concentrated milk, and it had a sweet, almost condensed-milk-like flavor. It was a sweet latte, so I enjoyed it a lot, and the balance between the smooth milk flavor and the espresso made it feel like a menu item that would be popular!

What is the Kotomo Coffee egg tart like?

Kotomo's egg tart uses a pastry tart shell packed generously with sweet, soft custard. It's a petite size, almost small enough to pop in your mouth whole haha. The pastry has visible layers, so it was crisp-crumbly and sweet — really tasty. It disappeared so fast that I was almost sorry about it.

Why Kotomo Coffee works for a visit on your own

The owner was incredibly kind, so I never felt uncomfortable sitting alone at this coffee spot near Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station. The music was a touch loud for reading, but the owner noticed on their own and turned it down for me... So thoughtful. You can also use takeout and delivery, and with wifi and a waiting area, it's a comfortable place to settle in.
