In short
Yugwanjang Banjeom Omokgyo Station Branch is a Chinese restaurant on the second floor of a building in the alley right in front of Omokgyo Station in Yangcheon, Seoul. Around 4 pm on a weekend, the writer and their parents ordered chili jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), seafood jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) and a mini tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) by tablet for an early dinner, and more than 5 other tables were already eating. Why I went to Yugwanjang near Omokgyo Station
Yugwanjang Banjeom Omokgyo Station Branch (유관장반점 오목교직영점) is a Chinese restaurant near Omokgyo Station that I visited because I suddenly had a huge craving for jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) one weekend. I enjoyed it, and my parents, who came along, praised it too. You get Chinese food cravings sometimes too, right? Last weekend I was resting at home after finishing the work I couldn't get done during the week, and out of nowhere I wanted jjajangmyeon so badly. I searched for a good Chinese restaurant nearby, found that there was a well-liked one near Omokgyo Station, and went straight over.

Where is Yugwanjang Omokgyo Station Branch, and how is the parking?
Yugwanjang Banjeom Omokgyo Station Branch is in the alley right in front of Omokgyo Station, so it takes just 2 minutes from the subway. It's really convenient by public transport. I went by car with my mom and dad, though.

There are parking spaces on both sides of the building, but the building has restaurants starting from the 1st floor, so it can be full. We parked in a nearby public car park too! It would be better to call the owner and ask about parking spaces before you come.

A clean interior that was busy even at an early 4 pm dinner
The restaurant is on the 2nd floor, and the building has an elevator. When we went up and opened the door, the inside was very clean and modern. We went for an early dinner around 4 pm, and still more than 5 tables were eating?!

The inside is really tidy, isn't it~ The tables and chairs are well arranged, and at first glance it made me wonder whether this was a good place that had only recently opened.

Side dish self-serve bar
There is also a self-serve bar, so if you need more side dishes you can just help yourself there.

Ordering by tablet: chili jjajangmyeon, seafood jjamppong and mini tangsuyuk
Every table has a tablet, so ordering was easy. We ordered chili jjajangmyeon, 2 seafood jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), and a mini tangsuyuk (sweet and sour fried pork). The tables were well stocked with sauces like vinegar and soy sauce!

The tableware was neatly prepared too.

First, they brought out the basic side dishes once. If you need more, you can use the self-serve bar!

The mini tangsuyuk came out first. The sweet and sour sauce came separately, which I loved! I'm a total dipper (jjikmuk, dipping rather than pouring).

The seafood jjamppong, packed with seafood, and

the chili jjajangmyeon with a spicy kick, so we ordered a generous spread.

Doesn't it look really delicious? The three of us could eat until we were stuffed haha. I worried we'd leave leftovers if we ordered the large tangsuyuk, so I went with the mini, and it was just right!~

How do the chili jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk taste?
As for the chili jjajangmyeon, the jjajangmyeon itself is, well, what can I say,, really delicious, and with the spiciness of the chili added, it just kept going down easily.

The tangsuyuk here was truly crispy outside and moist inside. Next time I go, I'll definitely, definitely order the tangsuyuk again!

Seafood jjamppong that was good even for someone who isn't a jjamppong fan
The seafood jjamppong definitely had a lot of seafood in it. I'm not someone who loves jjamppong that much, and it was still really good haha. The broth was so good that I thought it would be great with rice mixed in!

A Chinese restaurant near Omokgyo Station with my parents: would I go again?
My parents were very satisfied with the jjajangmyeon, jjamppong and tangsuyuk, and I'd like to visit again too. It's a great spot for jjajangmyeon, jjamppong and tangsuyuk. If you like jjajangmyeon and jjamppong, do give it a try~~
