Euljiro wine dining with a floor-to-ceiling-window hall: Pyu Euljiro

Today I wanted somewhere in Euljiro with a good atmosphere where I could eat a proper meal and enjoy a glass of wine, so I went to Pyu Euljiro (퓨 을지로)!! 🍝🍷

Inside Pyu Euljiro: an 80-pyeong hall with floor-to-ceiling windows

Pyu Euljiro is a newly opened place, so everything feels really clean, and at a whopping 80 pyeong the interior was genuinely spacious! The tables are spaced wide apart too, so it seemed great not just for dates or friend gatherings but for group meals as well haha

They have quite a few dishes that go beyond the usual Western-restaurant menu, so I'd recommend this to anyone hunting for good restaurants in Euljiro!

The moment you walk in, the wide, clean space just hits you! Thanks to the natural light pouring in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, it never feels stuffy — it felt refreshing, which also makes it a great Euljiro date spot haha

The Pyu Euljiro menu and what we ordered

🍝 What we ordered today — mackerel pasta, garden tomato risotto, Gyulluralla, and a glass of Cuna del Golf Kabinett Sauvignon Blanc

Mackerel pasta: oil pasta topped with a whole mackerel

The dish I was most looking forward to was, of course, the mackerel pasta!! Mackerel and pasta isn't a common combo, so the second I saw it on the menu I knew I had to try it lol. It's oil pasta topped with a whole marinated mackerel, and the fish wasn't dry at all — moist and tender, genuinely delicious!

Barely any fishy taste, and the clean-flavored fish paired really well with the savory oil sauce. Eating the noodles together with the mackerel meat was a better combination than I expected!! This was personally the dish I remembered most from the day haha

What does the garden tomato risotto taste like?

And the garden tomato risotto we ordered alongside it! 🍅 Brown rice risotto with tomato topped with cheese, tomato, and mushrooms — it really did feel like a little garden, just like the name suggests haha. You could taste the tomato's bright freshness without it being too tangy or sharp, so it was easy to eat without feeling heavy!

Gyulluralla and a Sauvignon Blanc glass, plus one free corkage bottle

🍷 For drinks we ordered the cutely named Gyulluralla and a glass of Cuna del Golf Kabinett Sauvignon Blanc! Gyulluralla is refreshing and easy to drink, but of course I still went for a glass of wine haha. Pairing the mackerel pasta with white wine was great — the wine cleanly cut through the savory richness of the fish, and the combination worked really well!! Corkage is also free for up to one bottle, excluding wines sold in-store, so wine lovers should keep that in mind!!

Pyu felt less like a plain restaurant and more like a dining bar where you enjoy a glass of Euljiro wine along with your food. So it's perfect for a slow dinner date, eating leisurely and having a glass of wine!!

Is Pyu Euljiro worth a visit? Final verdict

There are so many good restaurants in Euljiro these days that it's hard to decide where to go, but Pyu has a completely different charm from the old-school Euljiro eateries! It's the kind of place that comes to mind when I want a relaxed meal in a wide, clean space haha. If you want something a bit different from the usual Euljiro menu, a nice-atmosphere spot for an Euljiro date, or a restaurant where you can enjoy your meal and Euljiro wine in one sitting, give 'Pyu Euljiro' a try! 💕
