Euljiro solo drinking bar packed 30 minutes after opening: Yahwa

Yahwa Honsul Bar Euljiro is a solo drinking bar on the second floor near Euljiro 3-ga Station in Jung-gu, Seoul, open 19:00 on Friday and Saturday, 20:00 Sunday through Thursday, and running until 4am. Arriving at 7:10pm on a Friday, three parties were already seated, and Yahwa Honsul Bar Euljiro was full about 30 minutes after opening. Between the amenities, the board games and the seat-shuffling event, it is one of the easiest bars in Seoul to walk into alone.

Eunpyeong ramen with kimchi and house pickles: Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong

Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is a tori paitan (chicken broth) ramen restaurant on Bulgwangcheon-gil in Eunpyeong, Seoul. On a weekday visit at 7pm, the writer added tsukune chashu and a soft-boiled egg to the tori paitan and ate it with the kimchi and house-made pickles the staff recommended. With free refills on noodles, broth, rice and kimchi and plenty of counter seats, Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong works well even for solo diners.
