24-hour café in Sinnonhyeon: summer bingsu & mild geisha at Selecto

Today I'm sharing my visit to a bakery café near Sinnonhyeon Station, Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe.

Where is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon, and is there parking?

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe is near Exit 1 of Sinnonhyeon Station. Parking is ₩900 for the first 30 minutes, then ₩150 for every additional 5 minutes, with a max of ₩43,200, as I understand it.

This is the exterior! It's pretty spacious, so it was easy to find. I came at an awkward time of day and there were still lots of customers.

• Location: near Exit 1 of Sinnonhyeon Station
• Other: group seating, takeout, delivery, Wi-Fi, separate men's/women's restrooms
• Parking: ₩900 for the first 30 minutes, ₩150 per additional 5 minutes, max ₩43,200
• Parking in front of the shop can get you fined, and the nearest paid lot is said to be Eongubi Public Parking Lot, so keep that in mind

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon hours: staffed and unstaffed times

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon is open 24 hours, split into staffed and unmanned periods depending on the time. The 24-hour part was the best thing about it.

• Mon–Fri: staffed 8am–10pm, unmanned 10pm–8am
• Sat–Sun: staffed 10am–9pm, unmanned 9pm–10am

Keep this in mind before you visit!

Sandwiches and salads made to order after you use the kiosk

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon has sandwiches, salads and bagels if you need a quick meal. Not much was on display, but I was told they make them fresh when you order at the kiosk.

There wasn't much on display, so I asked just in case, and a kind staff member told me they make it fresh if you order through the kiosk..

Is there enough seating? Study seats have a 2-hour limit

The inside of Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon is huge, with lots of seats!! There are window seats, sofa seats and single seats.

I worried the big space would echo, but it didn't, and the mood was nice, with people talking in low voices.

There are study seats on one side too, so it looked great for working or studying in a café ("kagong" in Korean). But since so many people want those seats, use is limited to 2 hours! I remember there being about 5–6 study-zone seats. There were people studying, eating and holding meetings.

You order at the kiosk just to the left as you walk in.

Desserts and bakery at Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon

Besides meal options, Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon had lots of desserts like cakes, cookies and salt bread. The bagels and salt bread looked especially good!!

It seemed they also sell bread for sandwiches at the back.

How many coffee beans? 5 options during staffed hours

During staffed hours, Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe lets you choose from 5 special Selecto beans: Mocha Blend, Blue Mountain Blend, Hwasa, Geisha and decaf.

Beyond that there's coffee, non-coffee, signatures, short coffee, cleanse juice, sparkling ade, ice blends, tea and more, so many drinks that choosing is hard,, haha

Summer menu: watermelon juice and red bean, ube and mango bingsu

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon's summer seasonal menu has watermelon juice and bingsu (shaved ice dessert). The bingsu come in red bean, ube and mango.

It wouldn't be summer without the seasonal menu, right? They all looked so good. A few people in the shop were eating them,,! It seems like a good place to bring kids, too.

4 Selecto signature lattes topped with handmade cream

The Selecto signatures are topped with handmade cream, and there are 4 kinds: Selecto Latte, Green Tea Cream Latte, Chocolat Cream Latte and Nutty Cream Latte.

Group room at Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon

Inside Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon there's also a group room. It seems great for visiting as a group.

Mild mocha and geisha blends with a smoked salmon sandwich

At Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon I ordered one mocha blend, one geisha blend and one smoked salmon sandwich. I can't drink coffee well, so I asked for them mild, and they kindly did it!!

Doesn't the sandwich look so appetizing... It has assorted vegetables, salmon and tomato, and the sauce is coleslaw, so the sweet-and-sour combination was great.

Best of all, the bread isn't ordinary sandwich bread but fluffy, focaccia-style bread, so it felt easier to digest and healthy!! The texture was crisp, fluffy and chewy.

Both coffees had a rich aroma and a clean taste, but personally I found the geisha smoother and easier to drink!! If you like smooth coffee, I highly recommend it!

The chicken sandwich also looked good for dieting. Next time I'll try the chicken sandwich.

Would I go back to Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon?

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe near Sinnonhyeon Station has a big space and a wide range of drinks and desserts, so I'd say 100% would return!!!
