Chowol-eup Korean restaurant with a self-serve rice bar: Oneuldo Utja
Oneuldo Utja Chowol is a kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) and duruchigi (spicy stir-fried meat) restaurant on Sansu-ro in Chowol-eup, Gwangju, Gyeonggi. The order was squid and pork duruchigi at 28,000 won, old-style kimchi jjigae at 12,000 won and a jumbo egg roll without cheese at 10,000 won, and the self-bar had free rice, seaweed soup and side dishes to cool down the heat. Nothing flashy, but the freshly cooked suhyangmi pot rice makes Oneuldo Utja Chowol a filling Korean meal in Chowol-eup.
