Homilwon Shabu Kalguksu Gimpo Main Branch is a shabu kalguksu restaurant in Geolpo-dong, Gimpo, Gyeonggi, built around an agaricus mushroom broth. A couple ordered the Table Full of Special Shabu Kalguksu at 19,900 won per person and ate it as a course: onsuyuk (warm boiled pork), fire-grilled jjukkumi (spicy baby octopus), shabu vegetables with Gochon minari (water dropwort), rye kalguksu noodles and perilla oil fried rice. Wide dedicated parking and roomy gaps between tables convinced them to come back with their parents.

Min Cook Misoyaki is a Japanese grilled fish and rice bowl restaurant a 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Hwajeong Station in Goyang, Gyeonggi. On a family dinner visit, the open-kitchen bar seats held miso-grilled Chilean sea bass at 19,000 won, a special flounder sashimi bowl at 21,000 won, and a half portion of miso-grilled mackerel for the child at 7,500 won.
