Mangpo Station Korean BBQ with an Earl Grey highball: Olheun Gogi
In short
Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch (옳은고기 수원본점) is a pork belly Korean BBQ restaurant near Mangpo Station in Suwon, open until 3am Monday to Saturday. A family ordered the Olheun pork hansang set (a full-table set meal) with draft beer, Chamisul soju and an Earl Grey highball, and enjoyed yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), steamed egg and grilling cheese while staff handled the grilling at the table. Olheun Gogi's set serves almost 3–4 people and was more than a family of four could finish, which makes it a generous pick for a late-night Korean BBQ meal in Suwon.

You can park right in front of the restaurant, so there's no need to go far, which was nice! It's free parking too, which made it even more convenient.
A pork belly restaurant near Mangpo Station that stays open till dawn
Exterior

We came to Olheun Gogi (옳은고기) for pork belly near Mangpo Station. It's open late, right into the early morning, so it's perfect for a long night out, haha. It's close to the station, so people without a car can get there easily too~~
Inside Olheun Gogi: private rooms and group seating
Interior

The place is really spacious, and we came as a family for a meal and a few drinks! haha

In the back there are private rooms, plus seating for big company dinners. You could honestly bring a whole department!!! It's definitely roomy, which is great, and the privacy means we could chat away as loudly as we liked!
Olheun Gogi menu and the size of the hansang set
Take your time and read the menu slowly!

The Olheun beef hansang set (한상세트, full table set) and the Olheun pork hansang set are generous and easy to enjoy. Each is almost 3–4 servings, so you'll be stuffed. For four people we couldn't finish it all, so for my family it was plenty! haha
What we ordered: side dishes and the Earl Grey highball
What we ordered

These are the standard side dishes. Shredded scallion salad (pa-chae) goes great with meat, and there's even myeongi-namul (pickled wild garlic greens too, so it's the best... (^_^)b

I ordered draft beer and my younger sibling got an Earl Grey highball. My dad is a soju person, so he had Chamisul! The Earl Grey one has a subtle black tea flavor (?) and is tasty, so I recommend it if you like Earl Grey! It reminded me of the sweet cream on top of an Earl Grey financier, and I really enjoyed it!
Olheun pork hansang set: yukhoe and grilling cheese

The pork hansang set has arrived. Yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), steamed egg and grilling cheese come out one after another after this, so keep watching~

The yolk is plump and glossy, and the yukhoe is neatly arranged over diced pear. The grilling cheese came out too, so we can enjoy it with the meat for a rich, nutty bite.
The meat quality is clearly good: this yukhoe isn't made with frozen meat... it's so tender and springy!

I especially love it as a drinking snack because it doesn't fill you up. It seems to go with any kind of alcohol, so I think it's one of the best set menus.
Grilling service from start to finish

Olheun Gogi has a grilling service that runs from start to finish, so you can focus completely on eating and on the gathering itself! When you're craving meat late at night, just drop in. It's especially helpful for anyone who isn't great at grilling, haha.

After grilling it a while, the staff cut the meat into neat pieces, and it looked so tidy! I couldn't stop taking photos. Various vegetables were grilled alongside too!
Once it's all cooked, they let you eat. You can dip it in the meljeot (salted anchovy sauce) in the middle, or in wasabi or salt. This is the Mangpo Station pork belly spot that tastes great that way,,,,

Egg-bomb steamed egg and myeongi-namul wraps
It's not over yet! The steamed egg (gyeran-jjim), piled high like an egg bomb, is also part of the hansang set.

Scoop a big ladleful onto the small plate that comes with it and share, and you get a warm, stomach-soothing side dish~ It's the same steamed egg my dad often eats with his soju :)

The pieces are really big, and wrapped in myeongi-namul they're salty and perfect with beer,,, yes!

After we finished the pork belly, next up: they put the remaining meat on the grill! They keep grilling away~ I can't wait to get to the cheese, haha.

This time, a square, springy piece of meat topped with geotjeori (fresh kimchi) in one big bite!
I also dipped it in wasabi, and my dad tried toppings of garlic and myeongi-namul on ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste) :)

They grilled the cheese nicely and put it on the meat for us, so there's no way not to eat it. The cheese's nutty richness really comes through and the flavor is amazing. I even wanted to order just the grilling cheese!
