Songjeong tea café: Hyeonwolhocha, mom's top pick at Suwolgyeonghwa
In short
Suwolgyeonghwa is an ocean-view tea café on the 4th floor of a building right in front of Songjeong Beach in Haeundae, Busan. With my parents I ordered Hyeonwolhocha, Jeju Breeze and Lemon Sunset (8,500 won each) plus the Dalbodre Box dessert set (13,000 won), and my mother, who holds a tea ceremony certificate, rated Hyeonwolhocha the best. Suwolgyeonghwa is a great café to bring parents for traditional tea, desserts and floor-to-ceiling Songjeong sea views.

I recently went with my parents to Suwolgyeonghwa in Songjeong, a Busan ocean-view café I'd had saved for ages! I loved it so much that I'm sharing a review ❤️
Where is Suwolgyeonghwa, and what about hours and parking?
Suwolgyeonghwa is on the 4th floor of the building at 188 Songjeongjungang-ro 6beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan, and it's open daily 11:00–20:30 (last order 20:00). Parking is about 3 cars in the ground-floor pilotis lot, and when it's full you can use the public lot across the street.
Suwolgyeonghwa sits in a building right in front of Songjeong Beach.

The tidy signboard and big panoramic windows really stand out!

The parking space looks like in the photo. Some people double-park, and since the public lot near Songjeong Beach is well kept, many people park there too!

It feels modern yet has Korean touches, so I was already buzzing with anticipation before going in.
How is the Suwolgyeonghwa menu organized?
The menu is divided into Premium Collection, coffee, traditional tea, tarak tea (milk-based tea), and desserts. We ordered from the signature Premium Collection: Hyeonwolhocha, Lemon Sunset and Jeju Breeze (₩8,500 each), plus the Dalbodre Box dessert (₩13,000).

✔️Premium Collection: These are the signature drinks of Suwolgyeonghwa! When I looked up blogs, a lot of people seemed to order the Premium Collection.

✔️Coffee: There's coffee too,

✔️Traditional tea: and a nice variety of traditional teas!
✔️Tarak tea: I've never tried tarak tea and almost ordered it, but we decided to go with the signature Premium Collection haha

✔️Desserts: The desserts were so pretty. I fell for them from the photos.

What is the 4th-floor ocean-view seating like?
The 4th floor is an ocean-view space where you can take in Songjeong's sea and the beach train along wide windows. The ocean-view seats are very popular. Even the entrance is so pretty.. 🤍

The 4th floor's signature is the wide window line with an open view of Songjeong's sea and the beach train! The window seats are great for couples or families to enjoy the sea scenery together!

There are group seats too, so it's perfect for a gathering on a trip! There's also a separate pretty corner displaying tea products. So pretty!

The open kitchen let us see the coffee, drinks and tea being made,

and the props matched the café's mood well. So healing,,
What is the 3rd floor of Suwolgyeonghwa like?
The 3rd floor has a traditional feel with wooden furniture and soft lighting, with platform-style seating and tables together. The 4th floor is the famous one, but after seeing the 3rd floor with my parents, we decided to sit there next time!

The wooden furniture and soft lighting were so calming and lovely. The calm, neat atmosphere looked great for quietly savoring tea and chatting. With platform seating and tables together, it's really, really good for enjoying traditional tea!
How did the tea and desserts at Suwolgyeonghwa taste?
The Hyeonwolhocha, Jeju Breeze, Lemon Sunset and Dalbodre Box all came out neatly and tasted satisfying. Wow.. isn't it really neat and pretty?

Even the view was perfect!

Dalbodre Box ₩13,000
The Dalbodre Box is a set menu that reinterprets traditional desserts in a modern way, with a gamtae (seaweed) and pollock roe financier, a whole red bean and butter monaka, a black rice sulppang (rice wine bread), injeolmi (rice cake) skewers and more! It comes in a pretty lunchbox-style box, and every dessert was delicious.

My favorites here were the gamtae pollock roe financier and the red bean butter monaka. The financier has a sea scent from the gamtae that goes so well with it, and the monaka, crispy wafer with red bean and butter, was just so good, honestly?

Hyeonwolhocha ₩8,500 — the pick of my tea-certified mom
Hyeonwolhocha is a hojicha (roasted green tea) based drink with a gently spreading nutty, smoky aroma, and I felt a deep savoriness from the first sip. A mild sweetness from brown sugar was added, so it wasn't heavy and finished cleanly, which impressed me. My mother, who holds a tea ceremony certificate, praised it most of the three teas we ordered!
Jeju Breeze ₩8,500
Jeju Breeze is a yellow tea full of hallabong (Jeju citrus) aroma, and its sweet yet fresh citrus flavor was right up my alley. The sweetness isn't overdone, so it was easy and clean to drink!

Lemon Sunset ₩8,500
Lemon Sunset is a tea blending hibiscus and lemon, and its vivid red color was so pretty. The fresh tartness and gentle lemon scent cleanse the palate, so it's great with desserts! Personally, it was the tea that matched my taste best!
Is Suwolgyeonghwa in Songjeong worth visiting with parents?
Suwolgyeonghwa in Songjeong is an atmospheric tea café where you can enjoy Songjeong Beach's ocean view along with traditional tea and desserts, a unique café where you can enjoy tea more than coffee! The calm, upscale mood is great for healing, and above all, as a famous Busan ocean-view café, the panoramic window view of Songjeong Beach was a real charm!
Tradition and modern blend together, so I was very happy with both taste and looks, and both of my parents enjoyed the café wholeheartedly. When I told my mom we were going to a tea café, she showed up in a lovely modernized hanbok, and I think she took a million photos hahahaha If you're looking for a Busan Songjeong café or a Busan ocean-view café, I highly recommend Suwolgyeonghwa!
