Study-friendly café in Juan, Incheon with Orange Dot latte: Tiny Dot

You know those days when you just want to sit alone in a quiet café, order something delicious, read a book, and zone out haha. This was exactly that kind of day. I was looking for a pretty café where I could relax with a good drink and read, and that's how I found Tiny Dot.

To cut to the chase, this has become a Michuhol café I kind of want to keep to myself,, the interior is pretty, the vibe is warm, and the drink and dessert prices are reasonable too. Most of all, the Orange Dot drink — which I'd never even heard of before — was seriously so good!!!

Where Tiny Dot is and what to know before you go

• Hours: Weekdays 10:00–20:30 / Sat–Sun 11:00–20:30
• Parking: available (2–3 spots in front of the store, and apparently more space in the back)
• 4th floor is reserved seating

Tiny Dot turned out to be a bigger café than I expected. It's spread across four floors, so there's a ton of seating. A true large-scale café in Juan!!!

The 1st floor ordering counter!! It's decorated with all kinds of coffee machines?? Doesn't it have such a nice mood??

And!! When you go to a café alone, picking a seat actually matters a lot, and I loved that here there was such a variety of seating across all four floors.

The elevator even has a little shelf so it's easy to carry your drink in — such a thoughtful touch, you could really feel the owner's care 👍👍

What I liked most was the 3rd floor!! (The 4th floor is reserved seating!!) The 3rd floor has high ceilings and big windows that let in tons of sunlight, giving it a really warm, cozy atmosphere overall.

There were also green plants and trees scattered around, so it felt lovely without being overdone — calm and full of mood 🌿 I personally love this kind of vibe, so I felt at ease the moment I sat down.

And on one side there was a single-person table bar looking out the window, which was totally my taste!!! Looking out the window, soaking up the sun, opening a book... suddenly I felt like such a relaxed, put-together person lol.

This spot is near the restroom, but it was such a cozy seat that I didn't mind 👍 Anyone who loves reading alone at a café would really appreciate a seat like this. I sat here for a while that day, reading and having a peaceful time 📖

What I ordered at Tiny Dot

Now that I was at the café, it was time to pick a menu!! Tiny Dot had a lot of distinctive drinks beyond the usual coffee lineup.

The one that caught my eye was... Orange Dot!! 🍊 Doesn't the name alone make you curious lol. The owner said it was on the sweeter side, so I almost skipped it, but ordering it turned out to be a decision I'd have regretted forever if I hadn't!!!!

What does the Orange Dot taste like?

And now, the real star of today's Tiny Dot post!!! Orange Dot 🍊🍊 When I first saw it, I'll admit I was a bit puzzled. Apparently it's a nutty latte with sweet-tart orange syrup mixed in? Coffee with orange syrup... at first I was thinking, 'will this actually work...?' lol.

But one sip and my mind completely changed. Wait...? This is so good??!! The nutty, smooth coffee flavor combined with the sweet, tangy orange syrup worked way better than I expected!!! Sweet yet tangy, definitely coffee but with a bright orange note running through it... it was a mysterious, unique flavor unlike any coffee I'd had before.

And the flavors weren't fighting each other either — the nutty coffee and the sweet-tangy orange blended surprisingly well. If I hadn't ordered it, I might have thought 'should've just gotten a regular coffee,' but after drinking it I thought, 'I would've really regretted not trying this...' lol. I genuinely loved it. Truly, I recommend this menu with 100% conviction. (Personal taste disclaimer applies,,)

If you visit Tiny Dot, I personally think you should absolutely try the Orange Dot!! Thanks to it, I now want to try their other coffee menus next time too. A single distinctive item like this really sticks in your memory of a café haha.

Decaf americano: nutty, with no sourness

And I also ordered a decaf americano ☕️ to sip while reading. I'm not a fan of coffee with strong acidity, and Tiny Dot's americano was nutty without any sourness, which I loved. It was clean and nutty, so it paired well with dessert too. It went especially well with the Basque cheesecake I ordered that day. A bite of cheesecake, a sip of americano... that combo is basically impossible to mess up haha.

And since it feels a bit sad to visit a café without dessert,,, lol, I also ordered a Basque cheesecake.

The density was unreal. It was the perfect dessert to eat with coffee, and I especially liked it with the nutty americano. These days pretty café desserts can get surprisingly pricey, but Tiny Dot's dessert prices felt relatively reasonable, which took off some of the pressure.

Matcha latte ground on a stone mill

There was another menu item that caught my eye while looking at the menu board — a matcha latte made by grinding matcha directly with a stone mill!! I didn't try it this time, but just the fact that they grind the matcha themselves with a stone mill felt really distinctive.

There are so many matcha drinks around these days, but grinding it yourself with a stone mill... I thought, I definitely have to try this next time haha. Next visit, I'm planning to have the Orange Dot again and give the matcha latte a shot too.

Why Tiny Dot works so well for a solo visit

The biggest thing I noticed visiting alone that day was how not-awkward it felt to be there solo. There was plenty of seating, and the 3rd-floor window area in particular got such warm sunlight that it would be great for reading, working on a laptop, or just resting and zoning out.

I brought a book that day and read while enjoying my drink and dessert, and time flew by haha. And even though the interior is pretty, the drink and dessert prices weren't overly steep, which I appreciated. These days, some pretty aesthetic cafés can get pretty pricey the moment you add a dessert to your drink, but Tiny Dot felt relatively reasonable, and I thought, 'I could actually come here often.' In the end I liked it enough to save it as a café I want to revisit haha.

I also want to try the Sesame Dot and Perilla Dot that I missed this time, plus the stone-mill matcha latte. And for dessert, I'm planning to try the croffle!! There's so much more I want to try that one visit clearly wasn't enough lol.
