Anyone who works an office job knows those days where things get so busy you miss your usual lunch window. That happened to me this day — work dragged on and I ended up eating late, and at that awkward hour a lot of restaurants were closed for break time.

On top of that, instead of my usual Korean food, I was craving something a little different — a burger. I looked up burger restaurants near Samseong Station and headed to Bas Burger. Bottom line up front: a handmade burger turned out to be simple but filling enough to work as lunch. Let's get into the details!
How to get to Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch, and where to park

It took about 5 minutes on foot from Exit 2 of Samseong Station. It's directly across from Gangnam Police Station and the driver's license test center, so it's a pretty easy spot to find even if you don't know the area well.

It's convenient that the restaurant sits on the 1st floor of the building, so you don't have to navigate deep into a complicated building. For office workers in the area, it's a distance that's easy to walk to without much hassle.

If you're driving, there's street parking right in front of the restaurant, but it looks like finding a spot could be tough during lunch hours. Parking fees aren't cheap either, so personally I'd recommend using the Tancheon parking lot for a bit more breathing room.
Inside Bas Burger: solo seats, group tables and a terrace
By the time I arrived, the usual lunch rush had already passed, so the dining hall was fairly quiet. That gave me time to look around, and there were more seating options than I expected.
There were comfortable solo seats for eating alone, tables good for 2 to 6 people, and larger seating for bigger groups — plenty of options depending on the situation.
There's also an outdoor terrace, which seemed like it would be a nicer spot than indoors on a nice-weather day. It felt especially welcoming for anyone eating solo near Samseong Station, and having the restroom inside the restaurant meant you didn't have to go searching outside.

For dine-in, you order at your table, and there's a separate kiosk for takeout customers. With the two flows separated, it seemed like it would stay less chaotic even during a lunch rush. The dining hall wasn't crowded, but takeout and delivery orders kept coming in — it definitely felt like a spot popular for delivery among nearby office workers.
The menu at Bas Burger and the unlimited self-serve chips

The menu ranges from classic beef patty burgers to chicken and shrimp options. That day I ordered the Double Bacon Cheese and the Wasabi Mayo Shrimp, plus a Mozza Cheese Bar as a side. The two burgers were completely different in character, which made comparing them fun.
One thing we were quietly looking forward to at Bas Burger was the potato chips at the self-serve bar. Thin, crispy, and salty — I kept reaching for more even eating them plain.

They pair well with ketchup or mayonnaise too, and honestly, they practically call for a beer. Eat too many and you'll fill up before the burger arrives, so you're supposed to pace yourself — but that turned out harder than I thought, since I ended up going back three times, haha.
How the Wasabi Mayo Shrimp and Double Bacon Cheese burgers tasted
The one I was most curious about was the Wasabi Mayo Shrimp. The first bite was all about the shrimp texture — plump, whole pieces you could really bite into, rather than a finely chopped patty, which set it apart from burgers that are 'shrimp' in name only. Onion rings and vegetables were mixed in too, so each bite carried a mix of flavors.

The wasabi mayo sauce wasn't aggressively spicy — more of a subtle accent that didn't throw off the overall balance, and you could adjust it to your taste. If you're a little tired of the usual beef patty burgers, this one's worth trying.

On the flip side, the Double Bacon lives up to its name — hearty through and through. With beef patty, cheese, and bacon, the flavor was rich from the very first bite. If you prefer an American-style burger over something lighter and vegetable-forward, this one will likely be more your style.

With the salty edge layered on top, the overall flavor was strong, and it was filling as a full meal. If I had to pick just one — go with the Wasabi Mayo Shrimp when you want something lighter and a bit different, and the Double Bacon when you're craving something rich and heavy.

The Mozza Cheese Bar side had a crispy outside with soft cheese packed inside — split it in half and it stretches out long. It's salty and savory, a good alternative if you want something different from fries as a side.
Why Bas Burger works for a late lunch near Samseong Station

What I liked most about this restaurant was that it fit exactly what I needed. Even though work made me late, there was no break time to rush against, and I got to change things up from my usual Korean food with a handmade burger instead.
It's not far from Samseong Station, and with the flexibility to seat anyone from solo diners to groups, it seemed like a solid spot for office dinners too. It'd been a while since I stepped outside my usual routine and had a proper, filling meal like this! Next time, I'm going for the platter with a beer.
