Solo basic room karaoke in Gangbuk, Seoul: Su Noraebang Mia

I suddenly felt like going to karaoke after a long time, so I visited a place near Mia Sageori Station. I usually only go to the cheap coin karaoke places, so I decided to try a room karaoke and see what it was like.

Location and hours of Su Noraebang Mia Branch

It's on basement level 2 of the building right across from Exit 2 of Mia Sageori Station!

Open 24 hours a day, every day, no closed days

You take the elevator from the 1st floor down to basement level 2.

Apparently they filmed 'Married Woman Killer' here at Su Noraebang Mia Branch.

Events, point rewards, and snack menu

A great deal event — spend ₩30,000 or more and get ₩10,000 back as a karaoke voucher.

They sell set menus of fresh seasonal fruit, semi-dried squid, and mixed dried snacks with beer. They also sell bottled water, drinks, and coffee, which was nice.

The filming location was Gold rooms 12 and 14, but they were already in use when I visited, so I couldn't go in — planning to look around at the very end once everything's done.

If you want to make a customer card, you just fill it out like the example.

From the shoe cabinet to the hallway: staff service

There's a fridge full of drinks, and next to it a shoe cabinet for storing customers' shoes.

After paying, you take off your shoes to go into the room, and staff put your shoes into a personal locker — when I came out after finishing, my shoes were already taken back out for me. All the staff were kind and the service was great 👍

It's so flashy and luxurious hahaha. I've never been to a place like this so it felt unfamiliar... the floor is glass with flowers and plants underneath... it's so pretty I kept stopping to look around.

We walked pretty far... there's a restroom along the way too, I checked it out. To the left before the restroom is the smoking room.

How was the basic room I went into alone?

A staff member showed me into the room.

They put a cover on the mic and brought it right up to me.

One hour, charging up.

The room I was assigned was Basic, the second smallest after the couple room, but the sofa was wide and cushy — it felt almost too much room for one person..

I ordered three drinks separately: zero-sugar cola, Pocari, and Top Americano.

A minute's already passed, gotta hurry. My first song, the one I always sing at karaoke — 'I'll Come to You Like the First Snow.' The lighting was great and the sound was full thanks to four speakers.

But I've never actually watched Goblin lol.

Took a photo because the lighting was unusual — kind of reminded me of Christmas lol.

90 points?! Ugh 🥲😱 I guess my voice wasn't warmed up since it'd been so long.

Room interior and amenities

Isn't the window decor pretty? Bricks, flowers, plants... so aesthetic 💚 The floral wallpaper felt strange but it was still pretty haha.

The lighting only gets flashy when the music starts, so I didn't want to stop singing.

I thought about trying the long mic but chickened out worrying someone might be watching through the CCTV lol.

It says you can charge your phone, but you apparently have to bring your own charger. There's a power strip and a USB port next to it.

The 'adult favorites' songbook looked really old — you could feel the years. I think I used to look songs up in there when I was younger, but now I just go to the popular chart and pick from there.

I think this is meant to be shaken to hype up the mood, but I don't shake it..

Four speakers, two lights. One thing's for sure — way better than coin karaoke.

You could also turn off the lighting and lasers. You could also call the front desk by phone, but I didn't use it and just walked all the way over to talk in person lol, maybe I'm a fool..

No smoking zone, no outside alcohol, CCTV is running so no funny business.

It kind of gave off a Scandinavian home vibe too.

How much service time do you get?

One base hour plus 20-minute service increments — one hour on weekends, up to 1.5 hours on weekdays.

Walk only flower paths (I really am walking only flower paths right now) — everyone, may you walk only flower paths at Su Noraebang Mia Branch!!

The restroom was so grand and glitzy, genuinely great.

A look at the Gold, VIP, and couple rooms

Room 13 (Gold), which was a drama filming location.

Gold is definitely bigger than Basic.

Enjoyed the tour, heading out now.

This is the VIP room at ₩80,000 — it even has steps with a level change, allowing more people to fit.

I think this one was also Gold — but it looked a bit different.

This is the smallest one, the basic couple room! It definitely felt smaller than the Basic room I used.

My memory's getting fuzzy now ㅠㅠ but this room was also luxurious and great.

Overall thoughts

They really gave a lot of service time, the staff were kind, and the facilities and sound were all great, so I was satisfied. If you're near Mia Sageori and want to go to a room karaoke with family or as a couple, I recommend Su Noraebang Mia Branch. ❤️
